For my card share today I used the Songbird Branch Craft Die with the In Stitches Stitched Circles and In Stitches Stitched Rectangles to make a fun shaker card! (The In Stitches die collections are currently on reserve status until this Friday, December 5th. You might want to go ahead and reserve yours now and check back on Friday to see what else might be added.... just sayin! ;))
I die cut the bird, branches and leaves from Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper using the Songbird Branch Craft Die. I colored in the die cut shapes with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Stormy Sky, Gathered Twigs, Crushed Olive and Forest Moss. I added detail to the bird with the Sakura White Pen and Sakura Black Gel Pen.
I die cut some hearts from the Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper using the Decorated Branch Craft Die and coloring them in with Barn Door Distress Ink.
I created the shaker frame using the In Stitches Stitched Circles and In Stitches Stitched Rectangles. I took the inside circle piece and applied a layer of white embossing paste through the Falling Hearts Stencil for a tone-on-tone background design.
I die cut a transparency using the In Stitches Stitched Rectangles die and back the frame with it. I stamped a greeting from the Friendship Messages Stamp Set with SSS Sparrow Ink.
I added a couple of layers of foam tape to the backside of the frame, filled it with seed beads and adhered it to the card base over the embossed heart background.
