Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the January 2015 Release Stamps and Creative Cuts dies with a blog hop!
My card today features the brand new Sew Fancy Creative Cuts dies, Shooting Star Stamp Set and coordinating Creative Cuts die and the Stitched Sky Creative Cuts dies. The Sew Fancy Creative Cuts make amazing shaker cards when you used the pierced circles with one of the larger rectangle dies!
To create this shaker card I first die cut the SSS Schoolhouse Red Cardstock using the A2 size Sew Fancy Creative Cuts die and the largest pierced circle die. This creates the front frame for my shaker. I cut another rectangle from a Studio Calicio transparency to back the frame and create the window.
I die cut the pierced circle again from SSS Khaki Cardstock for the "inside". I also die cut some clouds from Marshmallow Cardstock using the Stitched Sky dies.
I adhered the SSS Khaki Cardstock circle to the card base and adhered the larger cloud as well.
I stamped the girl from the Shooting Star Stamp Set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her in with Copic Markers (the individual marker colors are linked below with thumbnails in the supplies). I die cut her with the coordinating Shooting Star Creative Cuts die and adhered her to the card base. I stamped some of the stars from the Shooting Star Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed the stars with SSS Gold Embossing Powder.
I stamped the sentiment from the Shooting Star Stamp Set to the front of the frame using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with SSS White Fine Detail Embossing Powder. I stamped stars and heat embossed them with the SSS Gold Embossing Powder.
I adhered the transparency to the back of the frame and applied two layers of foam adhesive to the back, creating a frame to house the Pretty Pink Posh Silver Shimmer Seed Beads. I placed the card base to the shaker frame and finished the design with some enamel dots and gemstones.
