Simon Says Stamp Hop To It Release | "...Why You Started" Card (video)

Today I have a card share showcasing more amazing new stamps and dies from the brand new Simon Says Stamp Hop To It Release! I absolutely adore the exercise images and dies from this release and couldn't wait to color the images.

I used the new Work Out Stamp Set and Exercise Girls Dies to create my card today.

To create my card I stamped the image from the Work Out Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored in the image with Copic Markers (the individual marker colors are listed and linked below in supplies). I die cut the image with the coordinating Exercise Girls Dies. I added Glossy Accents to the eyes and set the image aside to dry while I worked on the background of the card.

For the background I die cut smooth white cardstock using a Stitched Rectangles Die. I masked off the borders and stamped stars from the Lots of Stars Stamp Set using SSS Teal Ink and SSS Mint Ink. I used a combination of first and second generation stamping to get the variations in intensity and color. I applied Bundled Sage Distress Ink and Peacock Feather Distress Ink over the background and removed the masking tape.

I stamped the greeting from the Work Out Stamp Set using SSS Black Ink and SSS Teal Ink along the bottom of the rectangle. I added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker over the stars, adhered the colored and die cut girl and adhered the rectangle to the card base with foam adhesive.
