Popping in here quickly today to wish Lawn Fawn a Happy 5th Birthday with an inlay style card featuring the Party Balloons Dies and Scripty Sayings Stamp Set.
To create my card, I die cut three balloons from smooth white cardstock using the Party Balloons Dies. I applied two colors of Distress Ink to each balloon, blending them well. For the pink balloon I used Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and Barn Door Distress Ink. For the yellow balloon I used Mustard Seed Distress Ink and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. For the blue/green balloon I used Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.
To create the inlay I die cut smooth white cardstock with a Small Stitched Rectangle Die and then used one of the balloons from the Party Balloons Dies to die cut three balloon shapes from the rectangle. To trim the pink balloon, I first die cut one balloon, taped the inked balloon in place on the back, lined up the balloon die and ran it through again die cutting the second balloon shape. This not only die cuts the second balloon but trims the first one.
I inked up a greeting from the Scripty Sayings Stamp Set with the new Hero Arts Ombre Butter/Orange Ink, Hero Arts Ombre Mint/Green Ink and Hero Arts Ombre Pink/Red Ink to coordinate with each balloon. I brushed some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker to each for some sparkle.
I adhered the rectangle to a card base, adhered the balloons in the inlay and finished with a scattering sequins.
