Welcome to the March Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week! Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Year Five Stamp Set and coordinating dies as well as the new Birthday Border die.
For my card today, I paired the Year Five Stamp Set and coordinating dies with some of my favorite Stitched Rectangles dies, the Stitched Hillside Border dies and the Speech Bubble Border die. I used two of the new Lawn Fawn Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Deep Sea to stamp my greeting.
I used two of the stitched rectangles from the Large Stitched Rectangles dies to die cut the shaker frame from white cardstock. I used the smaller of the two frames to cut three of the patterns from the Pint Sized Patterns Beachside 6x6 paper pad. From the two lighter blue patterns I cut "waves" for the shaker scene using the Stitched Hillside Border dies. From the white rectangle (leftover from cutting the shaker frame) I cut a thought bubble for the greeting using the Speech Bubble Border die. I die cut a transparency using the largest frame.
I stamped the otter from the Year Five Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored in the image with Copic Markers and die cut the otter with the coordinating dies.
To assemble the shaker, I used the frame as a guide and adhered the star patterned paper directly to the card base. I adhered both waves to the star rectangle and tucked the otter between the two waves.
I stamped the greeting from the Year Five Stamp Set using the new Lawn Fawn Inks in Mermaid Lagoon and Deep Sea. I adhered the speech bubble to the star rectangle using foam adhesive.
I adhered the transparency to the back of the frame and added two layers of foam tape to the back of the frame. I sprinkled in some SSS Seed Beads, removed the foam tape backing paper and adhered the card base to the shaker.
I finished the card with a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
