Today I'm sharing a super fast and easy dog-themed card. I'm a dog person and the abundance of super cute and fun dog-themed stamps and dies make my heart happy-happy! I'm using the Avery Elle Furry Friends Stamp Set and coordinating dies for this sweet card. This is a super simple card design that focuses on how to color in the fur for this cute puppy to make it look realistic.
I trimmed a card base from some Simon Says Stamp Audrey Blue Cardstock and created a patterned tone-on-tone background by stamping the two paw prints from the Avery Elle Furry Friends Stamp Set all over the front of the card base with Lawn Fawn Mermaid Ink.
I trimmed a 1 1/8" x 4 1/4" strip from smooth white cardstock and stamped the tennis ball from the Avery Elle Furry Friends Stamp Set using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the image with Copic Markers. I stamped the greeting using Lawn Fawn Mermaid Ink and Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink. I adhered the greeting panel to the card base and trimmed two thin strips from Simon Says Stamp Smoke Cardstock and adhered them on each side of the strip.
I stamped the furry dog from the Avery Elle Furry Friends Stamp Set on another piece of smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the image in with Copic Markers using a messy "scribble" feathering technique to give the dog a furry look. Then I die cut the image with the coordinating Avery Elle Furry Friends Dies. I adhered the dog image with foam adhesive and added definition to the eyes and nose with black and white Sakura pens.
