Lawn Fawn | Critters In The Jungle (video)

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn April Inspiration Week!

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the Critters In The Jungle Stamp Set and coordinating Critters In The Jungle dies. I combined these cute critters with some Distress Ink background techniques to create this fun jungle-themed scene card!

I stamped all the images from the Critters In The Jungle Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers (the individual marker colors are listed and linked below in supplies). I die cut all the images with the coordinating Critters In The Jungle dies.

I created the frame for the jungle scene using the Large Stitched Rectangle Dies and Small Stitched Rectangle Dies. I inked up the inside rectangle with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and Salty Ocean Distress Ink, blending until I got a nice smooth transition in color. I dripped water on the "sky" using a paintbrush dipped in water and let the water wick away the ink. I set the piece aside to air dry for about 20 minutes.

I die cut a piece of white cardstock using the Grassy Border Die and inked up the grass with Crushed Olive Distress Ink and Forest Moss Distress ink. 

I stamped the greeting from the Critters In The Jungle Stamp Set on one layer of grass using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

Next, I assembled and adhered the elements to create a scene on the card base and adhered the frame with foam adhesive.
