For my cards share today I created a trio of balloon shaped cards inspired by the balloon card Jennifer McGuire did HERE (click the photo below the product on SSS). I added "texture" to each of the balloons by applying Distress Inks through Simon Says Stamp Stencils and heat embossing a greeting from the Big Birthday Wishes Stamp Set.
To create the balloon shaped cards I trimmed the SSS Mint Cardstock, SSS Doll Pink Cardstock and SSS Orange Peel Cardstock in half lengthwise, scoring each card along the top. I placed the largest of the Balloon Craft Dies on each folded card, letting the top slightly hang off to create the told in each shaped card and die cut each.
I used the SSS Medium Dots Stencil with Abandoned Coral Distress Ink, the SSS Tiny Dots Stencil with the Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink and the SSS Diagonal Stripes Stencil with the Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to add texture and a tone-on-tone pattern to each balloon.
I used the MISTI Stamping Tool to line up and precisely stamp the greeting from the Big Birthday Wishes Stamp Set on the front of each balloon shaped card. I embossed each greeting with gold embossing powder, stamped stars from the Lots of Stars Stamp Set and embossed those as well.
I finished each card with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins and tied some Lawn Fawn Gold Sparkle twine around the bottom of each balloon.
