Last Friday a bunch of designers took part in a mega blog hop celebrating the latest Simon Says Stamp Release, Falling For You. You can see the baby card I created with some of the new stamps and dies in the release HERE.
Today I have another new card showcasing the Lila's Heart Stamp Set and coordinating Hearts For Lila Dies as well as the new Falling Hearts Background Stamp. I framed up the sweet design with my favorite Stitched Rectangle Dies stacked up in a neutral tone to keep the focus on the image and greeting.
I stamped the sweet image of the girl holding the heart from the Lila's Heart Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored it in with Copic Markers. I die cut the image with the coordinating Hearts For Lila Dies. I stamped the hearts from the Spring Showers Stamp Set and colored them in before die cutting with the coordinating Spring Showers Dies. I finished the hearts with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker.
For the background and frame, I die cut My Favorite Things Whip Cream Cardstock using the two largest Stitched Rectangle Dies. I did this three times. (Set aside 2 of the rectangles for other project(s).) I used the MISTI Stamping Tool with the Falling Hearts Background Stamp and stamped the background image on the rectangle with Delicata Golden Glitz Ink. I cut apart the long greeting, stacked the words one on top of another and stamped the greeting on the stamped background using SSS Black Ink.
I die cut some clouds from smooth white cardstock and vellum using the SSS Flat Bottom Clouds and layered them along the bottom edge of the stamped background, then tucked the die cut girl image into the clouds. I glued the two small die cut hearts below the stamped greeting using the Zig Glue Pen and the Quickstik Tool for perfect placement.
I adhered the rectangle scene to the center of a white card base and glued the frame around the scene, adhering the other two frames on top to finish the card.
