I'm working on finishing up a few Mother's Day cards today, to get them all in the mail. Florals are always a good bet when creating a card for Mom and today I combined the Lawn Fawn Our Friendship Grows Stamp Set and dies with the Lawn Fawn Happy Everything Stamp Set and Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Circle Dies to create a partial die cut floral card for Mother's Day.
To create the partial die cut window with the vase, I drew a line with a pencil using a T Square Ruler and temporarily attached a Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Circle Die and the vase from Our Friendship Grows Dies. I ran the paper/dies through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine only die cutting part of the design. I used a craft knife to remove the circle portion of the design. I die cut the design using the largest Small Stitched Rectangle Die. I die cut another solid panel using the same die and applied Tim Holtz Cracked PIstachio Distress Ink with an Ink Blending Tool to the are area where the window will peek through.
I adhered the partially die cut window panel over the distress inked panel.
I stamped the vase on the partially die cut shape using MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink. Then I stamped the flowers, leaves, and stems on a scrap piece of smooth white cardstock and colored in all the images with Copic Markers before die cutting the images with the coordinating Our Friendship Grows Dies. I adhered the die cut images to create the florals in the vase.
I adhered tiny, tiny pearl gemstones to the card and adhered the panel to a white card base with Scotch Foam Tape.
