Mama Elephant May 2015 Stampede Blog Hop | Woodland Gifts, Grassy Trio, Pop Up Trio (video + giveaway)

 

 

Welcome to the Mama Elephant Release Design Team blog hop!

Our newest release is now live and available for purchase in the store. Cute puppies, woodland critters, fun little thought bubbles and bugs and a new alphabet plus some amazing new stand alone dies make for a super new release!

 

I combined the Woodland Gifts Stamp Set and coordinating Woodland Gifts Creative Cuts dies with the Grassy Trio Creative Cuts dies, and Pop Up Trio Creative Cuts dies for this fun interactive card!

 

To create the background for the front of the card, I trimmed SSS Soft Navy Cardstock approximately 1/8" smaller than an A2 card and used the Starburst Cover Creative Cuts die to create the starry sky, layering SSS Sea Glass Cardstock behind for contrast. 

 

I trimmed SSS Green Leaf Cardstock the same size as the starry panel and die cut two layers of grass using the Grassy Trio Creative Cuts dies.

 

I stamped the greetings from the Woodland Gifts Stamp Set on the top layer of grass using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

 

I stamped the images from the Woodland Gifts Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using MFT Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and colored them in with Copic Markers, then die cut them with the coordinating Woodland Gifts Creative Cuts dies.

 

I assembled the scene and added Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen to the stars in the sky and the balloon.

 

 

For the inside of the card, I trimmed SSS Green Leaf Cardstock slightly smaller than the A2 sized card and die cut the top edge with one of the Grassy Trio Creative Cuts dies. Along the scored line, I used two of the Pop Up Trio Creative Cuts dies to create the interactive element. 

 

I stamped another greeting from the Woodland Gifts Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I adhered a couple of the stamped, colored, and die cut images to the pop up tabs to complete the inside of the card.
