When I stumble across a particular card design that is easy to replicate multiple times I like to make several at a time to have on hand. Unfortunately today's cards aren't my favorite to create but necessary: sympathy cards. I've had several friends lose pets recently and so these cards have been mailed out to let them know I'm thinking of them.
To create the tone-on-tone background for the cards, I stamped the SSS Diagonal Stripe Background on a SSS Fog Cardstock card base with the MISTI Stamping Tool using SSS Fog Ink.
I die cut a rectangle from SSS Fog Cardstock and smooth white cardstock using the SSS Stitched Rectangle Dies. I die cut the paw prints from SSS Smoke Cardstock and the SSS Fog Cardstock die cut rectangle using the SSS Paws Dies (these are on sale for half price right now!).
I adhered the die cut rectangle to the white die cut rectangle and replaced the die cut paw prints with the SSS Smoke Cardstock paw prints for a smooth inlay design.
Using a Stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the Hero Arts With Deepest Sympathy greeting wood block stamp using Mama Elephant Dark Storm Pigment Ink along the bottom of each die cut paw print panel.
I colored each paw print with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen for subtle sparkle.
I die cut hearts from SSS Schoolhouse Red Cardstock using the SSS Mini Hearts die. I adhered the hearts to the card and added a layer of Glossy Accents for glossy dimension.
I finished the inside of each card with stamped greetings using the SSS Paw Prints On Our Hearts Stamp Set.
