Lawn Fawn Let's BBQ | "You're Smokin'" Card

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn June Inspiration Week!

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Let's BBQ Stamp Set and coordinating Let's BBQ Lawn Cuts Dies. I paired the Let's BBQ images with the cute ants from the Happy Summer Stamp Set and some trees from the Let It Snow Stamp Set (I love finding uses for holiday stamps for other times of the year!) to create my card.

The images from the Let's BBQ Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. I masked the steak, flames and grill using masking paper for a single image I could color and fussy cut. I colored all the images with Copic Markers and cut everything out. *The "charcoal" in the grill was created by coloring with the dot technique and finished by adding dots of the Sakura Clear Stardust Glitter Pen for a tiny bit of sparkle.

For the background I lightly traced one of the Stitched Hillside Borders on smooth white cardstock and then stamped a tree landscape following the pencil line with the pine trees from the Let It Snow Stamp Set using Hero Arts Soft Olive Ink and Simon Says Stamp Olive Ink. I used both first and second generation stamping for a backdrop full of trees.

The landscape borders were cut from smooth white cardstock using the Stitched Hillside Borders dies and colored in with Peeled Paint Distress Ink using the small round ink blending tool.

The borders were adhered to the background and then the ants from the Happy Summer Stamp Set were stamped along the border using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink. To give them a tiny bit of dimension and sheen I applied a layer of Sakura Black Glaze Pen on top of each ant.

The rest of the images were adhered along the border and a greeting from the Let's BBQ Stamp Set was stamped using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink. I finished the design by stamping "smoke" rising from the grill using Simon Says Stamp White Pigment Ink.
