Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh blog hop!
Today we're showcasing a little watercoloring love. I combined one of my favorite stamp sets, the wplus9 Unforgettable Stamp Set with some awesome greetings from Hero Arts, Little One. A Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 die and a Stitched Borders 2 die make the perfect landscape and cloudy borders for this sweet scene.
I stamped the elephant and balloon from the wplus9 Unforgettable Stamp Set on watercolor cardstock and colored them in with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and die cut the images with the coordinating Unforgettable Dies.
I die cut another piece of watercolor cardstock with a Stitched Borders 1 die and added color with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and blended them out with a paintbrush and water. I stamped the grass images from the wplus9 Unforgettable Stamp Set on the landscape and colored them in with the darker green marker.
For the sky, I applied a wash of color to a piece of watercolor cardstock using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink applied with a paintbrush dipped in water.
I die cut a piece of vellum using a Stitched Borders 2 die to create a "cloudy" border along the top. I stamped a greeting on the vellum using the Hero Arts Little One and Versamark Ink and heat embossed the greeting with white embossing powder.
I assembled the scene and finished by stamping some tiny, tiny stars from the wplus9 Unforgettable Stamp Set using Lawn Fawn Mermaid Ink.
