Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Tandem Extras

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Tandem Extras Stamp Set and coordinating Tandem Extras Dies. My card today is a sweet scene featuring a critter, the balloons, and a greeting from Tandem Extras with some die cut "clouds" made with one of my all-time favorite dies, Landscape Trio.

I die cut a rectangle using the die from the Basic Die Collection. To create the colorful background I blended Cracked Pistachio Distress Ink, Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink, and Spun Sugar Distress Ink on watercolor cardstock. Once the inks were blended together I spritzed the entire rectangle with water in a Mini Mister and let the panel air dry while I worked on the rest of the card.

The critter and balloons from the Tandem Extras Stamp Set were stamped on watercolor cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink and colored in with the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers, then die cut with the coordinating Tandem Extras Dies. Detail to the eyes and nose on all three images using the Sakura Black Glaze Pen and White Gel Pen make them pop.

I die cut cloud banks from smooth white cardstock and vellum using the stitched rectangle from the Basic Die Collection and then die cutting that piece with the scallop border from the Landscape Trio Die Collection. These were layered and adhered along the bottom of the inked rectangle. The greeting from the Tandem Extras Stamp Set was stamped on the white cloud border using the Hero Arts Mint to Green Ombre Ink.

The images were adhered to the scene and I finished the design with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins.
