Hey Lawn Fawns friends! It's that exciting week where the Design Team shows what's new for our Fall & Winter Release coming to a retailers late August (and we'll be showcasing the stamps, dies and other products at that time as well). This week, it's all about the sneak peeks!
Before we get started with the sneaks, I have a small note about video how-to's for this week's projects: because these products are not available until late August, I will not have videos for any of the LF projects I'm sharing this week. However, once these products are available near the end of August, I will be sharing the accompanying videos. Many of my YouTube subscribers are disappointed when I share videos with no way to purchase the products shown, which I totally understand. That is frustrating! So for now, it's the sneak peek only and in August, look for videos for everything. (Yay, more videos!) Thanks for understanding. My readers are the BEST!
Today's first sneak peek showcases some super adorable ghosties from the new Booyah Stamp Set! These mix and match ghosts can be dressed for Halloween in all sorts of "costumes". Everything from a pirate, vampire, and frankenstein that you see in my card below to a cat or a witch! So many ways to "dress up" these ghosts for all kinds of spooky projects!
Every single stamped piece on this card was stamped using an image from the Booyah Stamp Set. I used a masking technique to stamp all three ghosts on a die cut white cardstock stitched rectangle panel and then colored in the images with Copic Markers. A scattering of stars stamped in Fake Tan Ink, Sunflower Ink, Freshly Cut Grass Ink, and Juice Box Ink add movement and interest to the background. The white panel was adhered to a die cut black cardstock panel die cut using a Large Stitched Rectangle Die and the entire thing was adhered to a white card base.
My next sneak peek combines a couple of the new stamp sets, Thankful Mice (how cute are these little mice pilgrims?!!!) with the wagon, pumpkins and corn from the Happy Harvest Stamp Set. These are two of my favorite stamp sets from the fall and winter release. Absolutely adorable. I'll have more examples with both of these stamp sets later next month!
This card scene was created with a massive amount of masking for a single layer card panel, with the exception of the Bannerfic banner, which I stamped, colored and fussy cut instead of die cutting to match the rest of the design. Again I used the stitched rectangle dies for the stamped panel and to mat the design on the white card base. The sky and ground were colored by applying the Lawn Fawn Mermaid and Walnut inks using the Mini Ink Blending Tool before the masks on the stamped images were removed. The maize was stamped over the colored "sky" using the Sunflower Ink. Once the background was complete, I removed the masks and colored in the images with Copic Markers.
