Hi friends!
Today's I'm sharing a simple and elegant fall themed card showcasing Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. I used Distress Inks to color the new Small Stitched Leaves Dies for a beautiful leaf border. I combined the leaves with a woodgrain background created with the Woodgrain Backdrops Stamp Set, decorative stitched borders with the Stitched Borders Dies and a gold foil greetings using the Thinking About You Script Die.
I stamped a Khaki Cardstock card base with the woodgrain border from the Woodgrain Backdrops Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat setting with clear embossing powder for a nice tone-on-tone textured look.
For the decorative border, I trimmed some Cream Cardstock down and added decorative edges with a Stitched Borders Die. I love the way the decorative edges from this set can dress up and add interest to any edge or border.
I die cut the leaves from Strathmore Bristol smooth cardstock and added color with Barn Door, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Crushed Olive, Forest Moss and Gathered Twigs Distress Inks. I added additional distressing by adding water to each with a Mini Mister and allowing the leaves to air dry. Then I adhered the leaves to the cream cardstock border with a combination of glue dots and foam adhesive dots.
I die cut the Thinking About You Script Die greeting from gold foil paper and adhered it along the top of the leaf border on the card.
The design was finished with a scattering of woodgrain enamel dots.
