Happy Sunday stamping friends!
I'm so excited to share the Mama Elephant Skater Kids new limited edition exclusive stamp and die set for Simon Says Stamp's STAMPtember! I created a watercolored background for the cute skater dog and stamped and embossed the greeting with white embossing powder on black cardstock to make it pop!
The images from the Skater Kid Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in with Copic Markers. The individual marker colors are linked below in supplies and the marker number(s) are shown in the upper left corner of the screen in the how to video tutorial. Once the images were colored, they were die cut with the coordinating Skater Kid dies.
The background was created by applying Abandoned Coral Distress Ink and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink with Mini Ink Blending tools on watercolor cardstock. The panel was spritzed with water from a Mini Mister and allowed to air dry. Once dry, I splattered water droplets on the surface and allowed them to sit for about 30-60 seconds before "picking up" the water with a paper towel. The bottom of the panel was trimmed at an angle and then matted on black cardstock. The dog and skateboard were adhered to the panel and I stamped the "movement" image from the Skater Kid Stamp Set to the left of the skateboard. The panel was adhered to a top fold card base with foam adhesive.
The greeting and thought bubble from the Skater Kid Stamp Set were stamped on black cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder before die cutting with the coordinating Skater Kid die. The greeting was adhered to the card base with foam adhesive.
A scattering of Pretty Pink Posh confetti and sequins complete the card design.
