I am taking a small blogging break for a few days while I take care of my oldest who is having surgery to repair a torn ACL. (Darn football!) I'll be back in a few days with new cards and videos.
Thanks for understanding and wishing you all a super happy and creative rest of your week!
I hope you all enjoyed the Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week as much as I did! Now is the perfect time to start working on those Christmas and holiday cards and projects. I've compiled thumbnails of all my October projects showcasing the latest release as well as links below the photo collage for easy reference:
Last fall I saw a Halloween quilt made with the Fig Tree Quilts Navajo Stars Pattern and I immediately pinned it knowing I had to make one to add to our Halloween home decor.
For my quilt I pulled Riley Blake Bella Blvd fabrics in shades or orange, gray and black from the Halloween Magic, Too Cute To Spook, Military Max, Snapshots and Puppy Park Collections for my version of the quilt. One of my favorite things about the Riley Blake Bella Blvd Fabric Collections is how easily so many of the designs mix and match and work together!
I love how the Halloween Navajo Stars look like spider webs on a white on white background. While the navajo stars look difficult the process was actually a breeze. No y-seams at all. The pattern explains the piecing process in detail however I found Joanna Figueroa of Fig Tree Quilt’s Smarter Strip Quiliting Class at Craftsy super helpful in learning how to work with angles easily.
I chose to have this quilt professional quilted since I enjoy the piecing process but maneuvering a large quilt on my machine can be a bit of a hassle. I used Crinklelove.com and can’t recommend them enough! Great service, speedy turn around and the quilting….just fabulous! When I received the quilt back from them I sewed on the binding and my family’s new Halloween Quilt is ready to be enjoyed!
Finished quilt measures: 68” x 68”
The quilt is backed with the Halloween Magic Black Halloween Stars fabric.

I love the way the Twinkle Towns Stamp Set mixes and matches to create decorative ornaments or solid ones. So many ways to create beautiful holiday ornaments! I added a stamped town image to the stamped oranment and watercolored the image to bring it to life.
I adhered the ornament to the card with glue dots and added a thin line of Glossy Accent from the ornament to the branch and placed some silver twine along the line of glue. I tied a bow and secured it to the top of the string on the branch with a dab of glue.

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the Festive Mice Stamp Set and coordinating Festive Mice Dies. One of my favorite things to do this season is to create gift tags that can be used as ornaments after the gift has been opened! I combined the Festive Mice images with the Pizazz Pieces Dies for this fun shaker tag!
I die cut the shaker frame and back from smooth white cardstock using the Pizazz Pieces Creative Cuts Dies. I die cut another banner from a transparency.
The transparency was adhered to the back of the shaker tag front and then another circle was die cut from smooth white cardstock and a "snowy border" was created by die cutting a small hill using a Borderlines Trio Die. The "snow" was adhered to the front of the transparency.
I stamped a mouse from the Festive Mice Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the image with Copic Markers and then die cut the image with the coordinating Festive Mice Dies. I added texture and dimension to the trim and pompom on the hat with the Marvy Snow Marker and heated it until it puffed up. I adhered the mouse to the front of the shaker window.
I adhered foam adhesive around the opening of the window on the back of the shaker tag and filled the shaker with Silver Circle Confetti and Sparkling Clear 4mm Sequins. I adhered the shaker back to the front.
I threaded the tags through red twine and through the holes in the banner/tag and tied the ends in a knot.

I adhered the mountain border to the background and adhered the snow caps to each of the mountains. I adhered the snow border along the bottom edge and secured the trees along the border. I stamped additional snow to the dark blue sky with the dots from the Holly Jolly Stamp Set.
I stamped the car from the Tis The Season Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the image with Copic Markers, then die cut the image with the new coordinating Tis The Season dies. I adhered the car to the scene and applied Pico Wedding Dress Ink to the snow caps and to the tips of the trees to finish the card design.
For my second card design, I created a New Year's card with the brand new Advent Stamp Set and coordinating Advent Dies. I love the way the images and stamping pop against the black background.
I stamped the champagne flutes on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating Advent Die and added sparkle detail to the liquid with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen. I added Glossy Accents to the stems of the flutes for subtle shine and dimension.

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week!
The Lawn Fawn Oh Snap Mini Stamp Set is so stinkin' cute! I combined the gingerbread men from Oh Snap with other baking images from the Baked With Love Stamp Set for my holiday card share today. Wouldn't this be a fun card to give with a plate of cookies this coming holiday season?!
I die cut a rectangle from white cardstock using a Large Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered the stamped greeting strip to the rectangle. I adhered all the stamped, colored, and die cut images above the strip and adhered the thought bubble as shown. I added some stamped hearts from the Baked With Love Stamp Set using the Lawn Fawn Lobster Ink.

I die cut another rectangle from smooth white cardstock and cut two snowy borders from the piece using the Stitched Hillside Borders Dies. I layered the snowy borders along the bottom edge of the inked and stamped background.
I stamped the moose from the Critters in the Arctic and the trees, ornament, and cardinal from the Joy To The Woods Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. The individual marker colors are linked below to multiple sources and the marker numbers are shown along the bottom of the screen in the how to video. I die cut the images with the coordinating Critters In The Arctic Dies and Joy To The Woods Dies and adhered them to the rectangle panel scene.
For the shaker, I die cut a Large Stitched Rectangle Die and a Scalloped Rectangle Die from smooth white cardstock for the front of the shaker frame. For the back, I die cut a solid Scalloped Rectangle from smooth white cardstock. I die cut a piece of transparency using a Small Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered the scene to the scalloped back of the shaker and added detail to the ornament. I secured the transparency to the back of the scallop frame and added foam adhesive all the way around. I filled the shaker with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Marshmallow Seed Beads and secured the back panel of the shaker to the filled front.
