Welcome to the Lawn Fawn October Inspiration Week!
Today the Design Team is showcasing the Snowy Backdrops Stamp Set and Snowy Backdrops Die. I used to border from the Snowy Backdrops Stamp Set to create a snowy shaker scene for the cute moose from the Critters in the Arctic Stamp Set. The trees, ornament, and cardinal from Joy To The Woods add to the snowy woodland scene!
For the background, I die cut watercolor cardstock using a Large Stitched Rectangle Die and applied Evergreen Bough Distress Ink to the rectangle with a Mini Ink Blending Tool. Then I stamped the border from the Snowy Backdrops Stamp Set over the distress inked background with the Yeti White Pigment Ink.
I die cut another rectangle from smooth white cardstock and cut two snowy borders from the piece using the Stitched Hillside Borders Dies. I layered the snowy borders along the bottom edge of the inked and stamped background.
I stamped the moose from the Critters in the Arctic and the trees, ornament, and cardinal from the Joy To The Woods Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. The individual marker colors are linked below to multiple sources and the marker numbers are shown along the bottom of the screen in the how to video. I die cut the images with the coordinating Critters In The Arctic Dies and Joy To The Woods Dies and adhered them to the rectangle panel scene.
For the shaker, I die cut a Large Stitched Rectangle Die and a Scalloped Rectangle Die from smooth white cardstock for the front of the shaker frame. For the back, I die cut a solid Scalloped Rectangle from smooth white cardstock. I die cut a piece of transparency using a Small Stitched Rectangle Die. I adhered the scene to the scalloped back of the shaker and added detail to the ornament. I secured the transparency to the back of the scallop frame and added foam adhesive all the way around. I filled the shaker with Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear and Marshmallow Seed Beads and secured the back panel of the shaker to the filled front.
I attached the cardinal to the front of the frame and then stamped a banner from the Penelope's Blossoms Stamp Set on vellum using Versamark Frost Ink and heat embossed the banner with white embossing powder. I stamped the greeting on the banner from the Snowy Backdrops Stamp Set and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder and die cut the banner with the coordinating Penelope's Blossoms Dies. Then I attached the shaker to a side fold card base to finish this holiday card design.
