Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp Create Joy Blog Hop!
The amazing Create Joy Release is full of amazing holiday themed stamps and dies perfect for all your Christmas and Winter paper crafting! I paired the new Ready, Set, Snow Stamp Set and coordinating dies with the Falling Snow Background Stamp and Wavy Scallop Border Dies.
I colored in the the images from the Ready, Set, Snow Stamp Set with bright reds so they would pop against the bright blue Distress Ink background. This card would be lovely to send during the holidays but could be used for many occasions throughout the winter months!
I applied Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink and Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to watercolor cardstock using Mini Ink Blending tools. I stamped the Falling Snow Background Stamp over the distress inked background with White Pigment Ink. I stamped the snowflake from the Ready, Set, Snow Stamp Set randomly on the background using the White Pigment Ink as well.
I die cut a border from smooth white cardstock to serve as the "snow" along the bottom edge of the card using a Wavy Scallop Border Die. I stamped the greeting, "Warm Winter Wishes" from the Ready, Set, Snow Stamp Set along the bottom edge of the card using Black Dye Ink.
I stamped the boy, girl and accessory images from the Ready, Set, Snow Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. The individual marker colors are linked below in supplies and shown along the bottom of the screen in the how to video. I die cut the images with the coordinating Ready, Set, Snow Dies and adhered the die cut pieces to the card background as shown.
I added detailing to the eyes with the Sakura Black Glaze Pen and glitter detail to the images with a Sakura Stardust Glitter Pen.
I finished the card with a sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Clear Droplets.
