Welcome to the Lawn Fawn December Inspiration Week!
Lawn Fawn has some incredible new stamps and dies for their Valentine's Release that will be available for purchase a little later this week and each day the Design Team is showcasing the new products leading up to the release!
Today I have a fun card featuring the new Pizza My Heart Stamps and coordinating dies with the already released Gingham Backdrops Stamp Set and Stitched Borders Dies. Doesn't the gingham border stamp make the perfect buffalo check plaid when you stamp it in black on red cardstock?!!!! I think I'll make up a bunch of backgrounds like this to use on everything now!
*Please note that new Lawn Fawn stamps, dies and inks shown in this video might not yet be available for purchase. This post will be updated with appropriate links as soon as the new products are for sale. The December Release is now available!
For the red buffalo check plaid background, I trimmed a piece of Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red Cardstock to 5 1/4" x 4". Using the MISTI stamp positioner, I stamped the larger of the two gingham borders from the Gingham Backdrops Stamp Set on the panel using Black Licorice Ink. There is a bit of a space between the two stamped borders but I will be covering that up with the greeting strip here in a bit.
Next, I stamped the pizza, slices, and pizza cutter from the Pizza My Heart Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored in the images with Copic Markers and die cut them with the coordinating Pizza My Heart Dies.
Along the edge of a piece of smooth white cardstock I used one of the Stitched Borders Dies. I stamped a greeting from the Pizza My Heart Stamp Set using Black Licorice Ink, trimmed the strip down and then used the same Stitched Borders Die along the top edge of the strip. I adhered the strip over the background, covering up the space between the two borders.
I adhered the die cut colored images along the strip on the card panel as shown, adding detail to the pepperonis with a white gel pen and detail to the pizza cutter with a black glaze pen and the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker.
I adhered the front panel to a Simon Says Stamp Side Fold Card Base and added the rest of the stamped greeting from the Pizza My Heart Stamp Set to the inside of the card.
