Happy Thursday!
Simon Says Stamp unveiled their DieCember Release today! Great new dies that are so fun and easy to use. I created a set of three elegant holiday inlay poinsettia cards using the new Poinsettia Cutouts Die. Simple glitter cardstock in silver, gold and gunmetal gray make for elegant Christmas cards. For more whimsical or traditional cards try different colors for the inlay. So many possibilities with this awesome new die!
To start the card I cut rectangles using the largest Stitched Rectangle Die. From the vellum rectangle I used the Poinsettia Cutouts Die to create an inlay border. I die cut border from DCWV Glitter Cardstock and American Crafts Pow Glitter Cardstock.
I stamped greetings on the vellum rectangles using the Inside Holiday Greetings Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.
Then I created an inlay design by adhering the glitter poinsettias in the cutouts on the vellum rectangle. The adhesive secured the vellum layer to the solid white cardstock layer. I finished the design with tiny, tiny clear gemstones and then adhered the inlay panel to a Side Fold Card Base with foam adhesive.
