Simon Says Stamp unveiled a limited edition Holiday Card Kit last week and it sold out fast. However, I had already created several projects with the kit, projects that you could use with or without some of the components of the kit (most of the kit items are available for individual purchase). And for those of you who were lucky enough to pick up the Holiday Card Kit before it sold out, maybe you're looking for some ideas for using this amazing kit!
Today I've got a set of four nutcracker tags using the new DieCember Release Stitched Dress Up Tags (my new favorite die collection) and Nutcracker Stickers plus two kraft gift bags I stamped and adorned with die cut poinsettias using the Poinsettia Parade Die and Holiday Poinsettia Die. I've got separate video tutorials for each project. Let's get those holiday gifts packaged and wrapped!
For the Nutcracker Tags, I die cut tags and the polka dot tag toppers from the Schoolhouse Red Cardstock and Black Cardstock using the DieCember Release Stitched Dress Up Tags. I die cut the solid tag topper piece and hole reinforcements from white cardstock and then assembled the tags for a lovely layered look.
Along the bottom of each tag I stamped greetings from the Retro Christmas Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I tied some Red Jute Twine through the top of each tag and place a Nutcracker Sticker above the stamped greeting.
I finished each tag by stamping the "to" and "from" from the Retro Christmas Stamp Set on the back of each tag with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

For the embellished kraft gift bags, I did a little white pigment stamping on the kraft bags and then added cardstock die cut embellishments for a simple, yet elegant look!
For the "Season's Greetings" gift bag, I stamped my favorite Falling Snow Background Stamp on the front of the kraft bag witih the Lawn Fawn White Yeti Pigment Ink (this is by far my favorite white pigment ink!). On the other gift bag I used the Diagonal Stripes Background Stamp on the front of the kraft bag witih the Lawn Fawn White Yeti Pigment Ink. Be creative with the background stamps you use, so many would make great white on kraft backgrounds! I set the bags aside to let the ink dry. You can speed up the process by hitting them with a heat tool to dry the ink quicker.
I die cut "Seaon's Greetings" from Black Cardstock using the Season's Greetings Die. I die cut the poinsettias from Schoolhouse Red Cardstock and the leaves from Green Leaf Cardstock using the Poinsettia Parade Die. I layered the poinsettias and adhered both the greeting and florals to the kraft bag as shown.
I painted some Frosted Lace Stickles to the poinsettias using a paintbrush (this gave me a thinner coat of the Stickles) and added pearl gemstones to the center of the florals.
For the poinsettia outline gift bag I die cut the poinsettia from Schoolhouse Red Cardstock using the Holiday Poinsettia Die. I carefully adhered the floral to the center of the kraft bag and painted on some Frosted Lace Stickles and finished with pearl gemstones in the center of the poinsettia.
