Layered Stamping Vintage Flowers Prayers Cards

Today I'm sharing a set of layered stamping vintage flowers Prayers greeting cards. These cards were created for the Lasting Hearts Card Drive. You can read all about the card drive HERE. To create these cards assembly line style, I die cut 4 Bar sized rectangles using the largest Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle 4 Bar Die. Using the MISTI stamp positioning tool, I stamped each layer of the Altenew Vintage Flowers Stamp Set using the inks shown below the individual cards below:

I finished the stamping on each panel with greetings from the Prayers Stamp and Die Set stamped with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink. I adhered each panel to a 4 Bar Card Base by Simon Says Stamp.

Pretty Pink Posh Valentine Theme Week | Just A Note Card

Hello friends! Today I'm sharing a Valentine themed card (that could actually be used anytime) showcasing Pretty Pink Posh stamps and dies. I used the adorable PPP Birdie Notes Mini Stamp with my favorite Scallop Squares Dies to "frame up" the super cute pink chick!

To create my card I die cut a piece of watercolor cardstock using the largest Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Stackable Die. I love this die because it's exactly the same size as the Scallop Square Die so it makes the perfect backing if you're building up frames with dimension. I stamped the chick and envelope from the PPP Birdie Notes Mini Stamp Set using Antique Linen Distress Ink and then I watercolored the images using the following Distress Markers and a paintbrush dipped in water:

Once the images were watercolored, I drew in the eyes with a black marker. I added "sky" with the Tumbled Glass Distress Marker and Peacock Feathers Distress Marker. I added a bit of shadow or ground with the Pumice Stone Distress Marker. When the panel was completely dry (I hit it with a heat tool to dry it quickly) I stamped the greeting from the PPP Just A Note Mini Stamp Set using Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink and then I stamped a scattering of hearts using Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, and Candied Apple Distress Inks.

I die cut frames from smooth white cardstock usign the PPP Scallop Squares Dies and Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Squares Stackables Dies. I die cut these again from Fun Foam and layered the frames on the watercolored panel to give the image the look of being "framed up". I attached the frame to a square 4.25" card.

Embossed Resist Distress Ink Prayers Greeting Cards

Today I'm sharing a set of embossed resist Distress Ink Prayers greeting cards. These cards were created for the Lasting Hearts Card Drive. You can read all about the card drive HERE. I created this quick and easy set of cards using some embossing on watercolor cardstock with some of my favorite Distress Inks applied over the embossed greetings and images.

To create this set of cards I used an assembly line style to create twelve cards. I started by die cutting rectangles from watercolor cardstock using a Small 4 Bar Stitched Rectangle Die. I stamped greetings from the Prayers Stamp and Die Set on the panels using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

On each panel, I applied three colors of Distress ink, blending each for a seamless ombre look. The colors I used are shown below each of the following photos:

I spritzed each panel with water from the Distress Sprayer. I let the water sit for 30 seconds on each panel and blotted the water with a paper towel. I made sure and buffed any excess ink off the embossing with the paper towel as well.

Once the panels were completely dry and attached each panel to 4 Bar Note Cards.

OutroMaker for Videos | Why I Love It

Today, I wanted to talk a little bit about the technical side of video making or adding that finishing touch to your video tutorials for that polished, professional finish. I started using Outro Maker a few weeks ago and I can't say enough great things about it. What are end cards and why do you need them at the end of your videos? End cards or outros are a call to action. Use them to remind viewers to subscribe to your channel and check out your other video content. End cards will bypass youtube adding videos that aren't yours to the end of your videos.

Today's card, like Friday's card, contains absolutely no stamping. Gasp! A patterned paper background and die cut mini patterned paper hearts, outlined in black cardstock make for a classic design.

For the shaker, I die cut one of the Crate Paper patterned papers with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die. From that rectangle I die cut the inlay border using the Surely Stitched Hearts Die. I die cut another rectangle from a transparency and another from cardstock. I die cut the Surely Stitched Hearts Die from black cardstock to use as the inlay.

On the transparency I began assembling the pieces on for the inlay. On the back of the transparency I added layers of foam tape around the heart window opening and filled the shaker with the red heart confetti from the card kit. To seal up the shaker, I removed the backing from the foam adhesive and adhered the cardstock rectangle to the back.

For the greeting, I added three phrase stickers from the sheet included in the card kit. I die cut the included Mini Hearts Outline Die from black cardstock and two of the kits' patterned papers and pieced them together to finish this card design.

Today I'm sharing my first card using the February 2016 Card Kit. I used the patterned papers, cardstock and stickers from the kit to create a soft and pretty love-themed card.

I trimmed the floral patterned paper for the front of my card and adhered the paper to the top fold card base. I trimmed super thin strips of black cardstock and adhered them to either side of the floral paper. 

I die cut the heart from the black cardstock using the Sketch Heart Die and die cut soft leaves from vellum using the Clustered Leaves Die. I gently adhered the two delicate dies to the card using Bling Glue Dots.

I secured two of the sticker phrases from the card kit to the card and then die cut small flowers from another patterned paper using the Mini Flowers and Leaves Dies and secured the flowers throughout the design along the vellum leaves. I finished each flower with mini pearls in the centers.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Number It

Today I'm sharing a birthday themed card showcasing the new Mama Elephant Number It Stamps and Dies. I created a framed farm animals scene by combining the greeting and die cut number with the Madison Avenue Frame and the stamped and die cut Lunar Animals.

To create my card, I die cut watercolor cardstock using the Madison Avenue scalloped rectangle die, keeping the frame and inside rectangle. I cut the frame again, keeping only the inside rectangle and saving the second frame for another proejct. I also cut the frame from fun foam.

From the second inside rectangle I die cut a grass border using one of the Grassy Trio Border Dies. On the grassy border, I applied Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks using the Mini Ink Blending Tool. On the frame and solid rectangle I applied Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Ink along the bottom to match the grassy border. I blended the Salty Ocean and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to create a "sky" effect. I spritzed all pieces with water using a Distress Sprayer, letting the water sit for 30-45 seconds, allowing the water a chance to react with the Distress Inks, then I blotted up the excess water using a dry paper towel.

Once the watercolored pieces were completely dry, I stamped the greetings from the Number It Stamps with Versamark Ink and heat embossed the greeting with white embossing powder.

I adhered the fun foam frame to a side fold card base, then adhered the rectangle and grassy border inside the frame, finishing with the watercolored frame on top of the fun foam frame.

I die cut the number 3 from watercolor cardstoc using the Number It Die Collection. I applied Festive Berries and Picked Raspberry Distress Ink to the number. I wrapped a bit of thin twine around the number and secured the number to the card as shown.

I stamped the horse, chicken, and horse from the Lunar Animals Stamp Set on smooth watercolor cardstock using Ranger Archival Jet Black Ink. I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:

COW: 900, 028, 095

HORSE: 072, 028, 062

CHICKEN: 070, 067, 050

I die cut the images using the coordinating Lunar Animals Dies and added detail to the critter's eyes and nostrils with the Sakura Black Glaze Pen and Glossy Accents to the beak of the chicken.

I applied the critters to the card and secured the twine to the card by strategically adding Glossy Accents to hold it in place.

Reverse Confetti Bag Confetti Die Blog Hop

Happy Wednesday friends!

I'm so honored to be hopping along with Reverse Confetti today celebrating an incredible middle of release showcasing the Bag Confetti Cuts Dies and Bow Tie Confetti Dies. These new dies make wonderful inserts and decoration for the plastic gift bags. These bags are great for any occasion or holiday depending on how you decorate them!

To create the bags, I die cut the Reverse Confetti Bag Confetti Die from watercolor cardstock. I trimmed another piece of watercolor cardstock to fit the back of the bag. For the pink bag, I applied Picked Raspberry and Spun Sugar Distress Ink to the pieces. For the red bag, I applied the new Candied Apple Distress Ink. I applied more ink through the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Stencil and then spritzed the pieces with water from the Distress Sprayer. After letting the water sit and react with the Distress Inks for about 30 seconds I blotted the pieces dry with a paper towel.

I masked off the front portion of the bag panel and then repeatedly stamped the "hugs & kisses" greeting from the Fancy Word Coordinates Stamp Set. I adhered the back panel to the bottom of the bag piece and slipped it inside the plastic bag, then filled the bag with chocolates.

For the bow and tag I die cut all the elements from watercolor cardstock using the Bag Confetti Cuts and Bow Tie Confetti Cuts Dies and colored them like I did the bag insert. On the tag, I stamped the greeting again this time with Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Dye Ink. I added a stamped heart form the Fancy Word Coordinates Stamp Set to finish the greeting. I assembled the bow and added a button to the center, attached all the elements to the treat bag with medium zots glue dots.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Thank You Wishes

Hello friends!

Thank you cards are always needed so when I find a great, versatile thank you greeting set I love to make several at once. The new Thank You Wishes Stamp Set from Mama Elephant has a gorgeous oversize scripty greeting and lots of smaller phrases to create custom thank you cards! I stamped and embossed the greetings and then applied Distress Inks over the embossing for the embossed resist technique.

I die cut watercolor cardstock with the skinny frame Dotted Detail die four times. I set aside the frame for another project and kept the inside rectangle. I die cut smooth white cardstock four times as well, this time keeping the frame. 

I stamped each solid rectangle with the large "Thank You" greeting from the Thank You Wishes Stamp Set and also a smaller phrase greeting using Versamark Ink and heat embossed the greeting with white embossing powder.  

I applied a trio of Distress Ink colors over the embossed panels using Mini Ink Blending Tool. The Distress Ink colors I used for each card are listed below the individual card photos. I spritzed each panel with water from a Distress Sprayer and then blotted each dry with a paper towel.

I adhered the embossed resist greetings to side fold card bases and then adhered each skinny frame, finishing each card with Pretty Pink Posh sequins attached with Bling Glue Dots.
