The Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Oh Happy Birds Stamps and Dies from the January Release. Last week I shared a Valentine's card idea HERE using the Oh Happy Birds stamps and die so today I thought I would show a wedding themed card! To make it even more magical, I created a shaker using the new Madison Avenue Frame Die. Isn't this a fun wedding card?!!!
To create the shaker easily, I applied Stick It to both sides of a piece of Fun Foam and then ran it through my Big Shot using the scalloped Madison Avenue frame die. This is going to make the fun foam a sticker on each side making it easier to create my shaker.
I die cut the Madison Avenue scalloped frame again this time from watercolor cardstock, keeping both the frame and the inside rectangle. I applied Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender Distress Inks to both the pieces using the Mini Ink Blending Tool and then spritzed them with water from the Distress Sprayer. I let the water sit for about 30-45 seconds before blotting the watercolor cardstock dry with a paper towel.
I set aside the rectangle and frame to air dry while I worked on the rest of the design.
The flower arch, bells, and bird couple from the Oh Happy Birds Stamp Set were stamped on smooth watercolor cardstock using Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink and colored in with the following Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers:
BIRDS: 095, 099, 027, 082, 028, 302, 222, 900
FLOWER ARCH: 027, 082, 098, 046
I die cut the images with the coordinating Oh Happy Birds Dies and added detail to the eyes with the Sakura Black Gel Pen and added detail to the noses with Glossy Accents.
I stamped the greetings from Oh Happy Birds on the background rectangle using black ink and adhered the images to the background as shown.
I removed the backing paper from one side of the fun foam frame and attached it to a top fold card base. I attached the background rectangle inside the shaker and then sprinkled in the Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Star Confetti. I removed the other side of the backing paper from the fun foam frame and attached a trimmed down piece of transparency and then finished with the watercolored frame to complete the shaker card.
