Welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh Turns 2 Blog Hop!
It's so exciting when good people find success doing something they love. I am so very happy for my friend, Paulina, and Pretty Pink Posh! Two years is such an amazing accomplishment! To celebrate today I have a sweet card share showcasing the new Storybook 3 Die with some sweet critters from the wplus9 Happy Mail Stamp Set. I love this new Storybook die. The only cuts are made on the inside frames, the rest is stitching detail. I paired the Storybook 3 die with the A2 size Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die.
I die cut the background for my card from watercolor cardstock by pairing the largest A2 size Lawn Fawn Stitched Rectangle Die with the Storybook 3 Die. Then I applied Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and Twisted Citron Distress Ink along the bottom of the background. I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and Salty Ocean Distress Ink to the top part of the die cuts. I spritzed the pieces with water in a Distress Sprayer. I let the water sit for about 30-45 seconds and then dabbed up the water with a dry paper towel.
Once the pieces were dry I stamped a greeting from the wplus9 Happy Mail Stamp Set on one of the smaller rectangles using Lawn Fawn Fish Tank Ink and Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink. I stamped the butterfly trail with the black ink in the other small rectangle.
I stamped the bear, bunny, bird, tree stump, and butterfly from the wplus9 Happy Mail Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers, The color combinations I used are shown along the bottom of the screen in the how to video and below:
- TREE STUMP: YG17, YG21, E55, E57, E49
- BIRD: BG0000, BG000, BG01, Y00, R00, YR04
- BEAR: W5, W6, W8, R00
- BUNNY: W00, W1, W2, R00
- BUTTERFLY: RV55, RV66, RV69
I die cut the images with the coordinating wplus9 Happy Mail Dies.
I adhered the three die cut panels on a side fold card base and then adhered the frame to the card with foam adhesive, finishing the card with the die cut images and a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear 6mm and 4mm sequins.
