Welcome to the January 2016 Pretty Pink Posh Release!
From great, versatile dies to amazing new mini star confetti and sequin collections, PPP has you covered. I combined the great new exclusive to Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Squares Dies and the Iridescent Mini Stars Confetti with the previously released Rainy Days Stamp Set and coordinating dies. Fun Foam and Stick It made assembling this shaker so super quick and easy. Let me show you how I used these great products with the new release products for my card today.
I stamped the umbrella images from the Rainy Days Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Lawn Fawn Lobster Red Ink and Black Licorice Ink, then die cut them with the coordinating dies. I stamped the clouds from the Rainy Days Stamp Set with Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and Spun Sugar Distress Ink and die cut them with the coordinating dies.
I die cut the frame from watercolor cardstock using the larger of the two Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Squares Dies. I layered Stick It on both sides of a piece of Fun Foam and die cut that with the Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Squares Die as well. I die cut the back of the shaker out of smooth white cardstock using a Lawn Fawn Small Stitched Square Die (the largest die in that set is 4" square and is exactly the same size as the Pretty Pink Posh frame!). I also die cut a square from a piece of transparency.
On the inside piece of the scallop frame, I applied Picked Raspberry Distress Ink and Spun Sugar Distress Ink with an Ink Blending Tool and then spritzed the pieces with water from the Distress Sprayer. I let the water sit for about 30-40 seconds and then dabbed up the water with a dry paper towel for a lovely distressed look. Once the background was dry I stamped hearts all over using an image from the Rainy Days Stamp Set. I stamped the greeting on the transparency with Cotton White StazOn Ink.
I assembled the background and then the shaker, filling the shaker with the Iridescent Mini Stars Confetti. I adhered the shaker to a 4.25" square card base and applied a layer of Glossy Accents to the umbrella on the front of the shaker to complete the design.
