Mama Elephant March Stampede | Butterfly Kisses Card + Giveaway (Nichol Spohr LLC)

The beautiful images from the new Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set are perfect for watercoloring. Or coloring with any kind of medium really. The images are stunning and the greetings mix and match to create almost any kind of card. Such a fabulous stamp set.

To create the watercolored look, I first stamped the large floral image and two of the butterflies from the Butterfly Kisses Stamp Set on watercolor cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed the images with white embossing powder. I watercolored the images with Distress Markers and a damp paintbrush. I added color to the background and let the entire image air dry. You can speed up the drying process with a heat tool if needed.

Here are the color combinations I used for each of the images:

FLORALS: Picked Raspberry, Wilted Violet, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn

BLUE BUTTERFLY: Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Squeezed Lemonade

RED BUTTERFLY: Barn Door, Squeezed Lemonade

I trimmed the panel to 3.75" wide and adhered the panel to a 4" wide piece of black cardstock. I wrapped a bit of thin pink twine around the left side of the panel and tied it in a bow, securing the knot with a dab of Glossy Accents to keep it in place. I adhered the whole thing to a top fold card base.

I finished the card design with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear 4" mm and 6" mm sequins.
