Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Whale Wishes Stamp Set and coordinating Whale Wishes Dies. I paired these super adorable images and greetings with All Prettied Up Creative Cuts Dies for a fun shaker card. Distress Inks add color and personality to the die cut pieces.
I die cut the front panel and inside cut out from watercolor cardstock using the All Prettied Up Creative Cuts Dies. I stamped the wave from the Whale Wishes Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed the image with white embossing powder. I die cut the wave with the coordinating Whale Wishes Die. I applied Blueprint Sketch, Salty Ocean, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks to the die cut pieces and then spritzed them with water from a Distress Sprayer. After letting the water sit for about 30 seconds, I blotted it dry with a paper towel.
On the background (or inside shaker Distress Inked piece) I stamped greetings from the Whale Wishes Stamp Set using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. In the highlight areas I traced the area with a white gel pen.
I stamped a whale from the Whale Wishes Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and then die cut the image with the coordinating Whale Wishes Die. I colored in the cheek/white areas of the whale with Copic Markers.
Using the front panel as a guide, I adhered the inside piece to a top fold card base. On the back of the front panel, I adhered a trimmed piece of transparency and then added two layers of foam adhesive all the way around the opening and then filled the area with Pretty Pink Posh Silver Shimmer Seed Beads.
