I adore the new Birdie Friends Stamp Set and coordinating dies. If you loved the sweet little mini stamp set, Birdie Notes, you will be thrilled with the Birdie Friends as they work so well together! I paired the sweet Birdie Friends images with a new Scallop Circles Die and pretty Distress Inks.
I stamped the trio of birds and branch from the Birdie Friends Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. The leaves from Birdie Friends were stamped with Lawn Fawn Celery Stick, Freshly Cut Grass, and Jalapeno Inks. All the images were die cut with the coordinating Birdie Friends Dies.
I added detail to the eyes of the birds with the Sakura Black Glaze Pen, white dot detail to the cheeks of the birds with an opaque white pen, and Glossy Accents to the beaks.
I die cut the large Scallop Circles Die and the Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die from watercolor cardstock. I applied Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron Distress Inks to the pieces, spritzed them with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted the pieces dry. On the rectangle, I stamped the Hero Arts Confetti Bold Prints Stamp using the same colors of Distress Inks.
I die cut two more Scallop Circles from smooth white cardstock and adhered them one on top of another with the distress inked circle adhered to the top. I stamped a greeting and the music notes from the Birdie Friends Stamp Set on the inside piece using the Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink.
I adhered the rectangle panel and the circle frame and images to a top fold card base to finish the card.
