Welcome to the debut release of Whimsy Stamps newest artist/illustrator Nina-Marie Trapani! Nina-Marie has created 4 new clear stamp sets and 2 new Shapeology crafting dies to complement the stamp sets. Each day this week our design team and special guests will be sharing the new products and then on Friday, March 11th customers will be able to purchase them from the Whimsy Stamps Shop.
I am a little addicted to elephant stamp images. The new Whimsy Stamps Sketched Elephants are so super cute and adorable and fun to color and create cards with. I paired the new *Sketched Elephants Stamps and *coordinating dies with a new *Hand Stitched Rectangles Die.
I stamped an elephant and hearts from the *Sketched Elephants Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I colored in the images with Copic Markers and then die cut the images with the *coordinating Sketched Elephants Dies. I added detail to the eyes on the elephant with the Sakura Black Glaze Pen, a glossy finish to the toenails with Glossy Accents, and glitter to the hearts with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Pen.
For the background, I die cut a rectangle with one of the new *Hand Stitched Rectangles Dies. I stamped the two grass images from the stamp set on the rectangle using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in the grass with Copic Markers. I applied Mowed Lawn and Twisted Citron Distress Inks to the bottom portion of the rectangle using a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the top of the panel.
A greeting from the *Sketched Elephants Stamp Set using black ink and adhered the hearts and elephant to the scene. I added a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear sequins and finished the design by adhering the panel to a top fold card base with foam adhesive.
