Hello! Today I've got a fun coffee themed card showcasing ideas on creating a customized greeting with alphabet stamps using Lawn Fawn stamps and dies. By mixing the Quinn's Capital ABC's Stamps with the Love You A Latte coffee cups, I not only get a great bold greeting but it also serves as the focal point/embellishment of my card. The Clark's ABC's finish up the custom greeting underneath the sweet letters and images and a black and white inlay striped background gets a facelift with some great detail using the Stitched Borders Dies.
To begin my card design, I first figured out my greeting by searching "coffee tee" on Pinterest. Once I found a great greeting, I grabbed my Quinn's Capital ABC's Dies and die cut the letters for "COFFEE" from smooth white cardstock, then I stamped the coordinating letter with the Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink using the Quinn's Capital ABC's Stamps. I stamped the coffee cup/mug images from the Love You A Latte Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using the Intense Black Ink and die cut the images with the coordinating Love You A Latte Dies.
I colored in the images with the following Copic Marker color combinations:
I added faces and a heart to the coffee cups using images from the Love You A Latte Stamp Set. I stamped the "steam" for the 3 mugs and die cut the images with the coordinating Love You A Latte Dies.
I trimmed a 2" x 5.5" strip of smooth white cardstock and added a stitched detail line with a Stitched Borders Die. I stamped the rest of the greeting below the stitching line using the Intense Black Ink and Clark's ABC's Stamps.
For the background I die cut 2 panels (one from white cardstock and one from black) using the Stripey Backdrop Die. On the white background, I added detail to the stripes by running the panel through my Big Shot with the Stitched Borders Dies.
I applied a nice strong adhesive all over the front of a side fold card base and then adhered the white Stripey Backdrop to the card and inlay the black stripes. I adhered the greeting panel to the background and added a thin strip of black cardstock to the top and bottom before adhering the letters and coffee cups to complete the design. The Sakura Black Glaze Pen adds detail to the eyes, mustache, and heart on the images.
