Lawn Fawn Shaker Shooting Stars, Puffy Clouds, and Make Me Smile Card

Today I have a simple shaker card featuring lots of the new Lawn Fawn Dies that work with the wonderful Make Me Smile Dies! I paired the Make Me Smile Dies with the Shooting Star Dies, Puffy Clouds Dies, Stitched Rectangle Frames Dies, and Large Stitched Rectangle Dies for this fun design.

For the background of the card/shaker, I die cut an A2 sized rectangle from watercolor cardstock using a Large Stitched Rectangle Die. I applied Chipped Sapphire and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks to the background, spritzed the panel with water from a Distress Sprayer, let the water sit for 20-30 seconds and blotted it dry with a paper towel.

I die cut clouds from watercolor cardstock and black cardstock using the Puffy Cloud Dies and applied Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to the edges of the watercolor clouds.

I die cut the star from watercolor cardstock and black cardstock using the Shooting Star Dies. I applied Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber Distress Inks to the star, and Chipped Sapphire,Peacock Feathers, and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks to the rest of the die cut pieces. I spritzed the pieces with water from a Distress Sprayer, let the water sit for 20-30 seconds and blotted it dry with a paper towel.

I die cut faces from the star and one of the clouds using the Make Me Smile Dies. I colored the mouth piece for the cloud with Barn Door Distress Ink and adhered the mouth as shown.

I die cut a transparency using the A2 sized Large Stitched Rectangle Die and stamped a greeting and stars from the Lucky Stars Stamp Set using Cotton White StazOn Ink. I die cut a frame using a Stitched Rectangle Frames Die. I adhered the frame to the transparency and then assembled the die cut pieces to the front of the transparency. I flipped the framed transparency over and applied two layers of foam tape to the back and filled the shaker with Pretty Pink Posh Mini Silver Star Confetti, Silver Shimmer Seed Beads, and Sparkling Clear 4mm Sequins. I adhered the shaker backer to the front and adhered the completed shaker to a side fold card base.

Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit | Look For The Miracles Embossed Resist Flowers Card

Hello! Today I'm sharing another card with the Simon Says Stamp June Card Kit. I used the stamps and cardstock from the kit to create this simple floral design card. Simple Distress Ink application with Sponge Daubers is a great way to quickly and easily apply color to the embossed flowers and leaves.

To start my card, I first trimmed some of the white cardstock from the kit to 4.25" x 5.5". I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Look For The Miracles Stamp Set on the smooth white cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed the images with Simon Says Stamp Fine Detail White Embossing Powder.

I applied Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, and Twisted Citron Distress inks over the embossed images using Sponge Daubers applicators. I applied Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the rest of the background and then stamped the greeting using Jet Black Staz On Ink (I used Staz On Ink so that any parts of the greeting that overlap the embossed areas wouldn't rub off).

I trimmed the long sides of the panel and adhered it to a Simon Says Stamp Side Fold Card Base.

I trimmed two thin strips of black cardstock and adhered them along the top and bottom of the panel on the card.

I used one of the pens from the kit to add detail to the flowers to finish the card design.

I loved the rainbow colored patterned paper from the kit so much I centered my entire card around the paper. I wanted to show as much of it as possible and thought it would be fantastic as an easy shaker card!

I used two of the Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle Frames to die cut not only the frame for the shaker but the inside panel as well. I used the larger of the two dies to die cut a backing for my shaker from some of the cardstock included in the kit and also from a transparency.

On the transparency, I stamped the greeting and hearts from the Looking For the Miracles Stamp Set using StazOn Jet Black Ink.

I adhered the inside panel to the shaker backing cardstock rectangle and set it aside. I adhered the frame to the transparency and then backed the frame with foam adhesive around all four sides. I used a powder tool to make sure the inside edges of the shaker weren't sticky and then filled the shaker with sequins, confetti, and seed beads.

I removed the backing paper from the foam tape and took the backing of the shaker to the shaker front to finish the design. I adhered the shaker to a Simon Says Stamp top fold card base.

Mama Elephant | Calli Letters Card

The new Calli Letters from Mama Elephant create the most beautiful custom stamped greetings. I used a Hero Arts Ombre Ink to get the beautiful gradation of color. I love that you can create short, simple greetings like "hello" or "thanks" or entire phrases or quotes like I did here. I think this would be beautiful added to a scrapbook page or even framed to use as home decor.

I die cut the Madison Avenue Die from smooth white cardstock. I stamped a phrase on the center rectangle using the Hero Arts Ombre Pool to Navy Ink. I added additional stamped embellishment with the paint splotches from the Brush Strokes Stamp Set.

I added a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Mini Silver Star Confetti and 4mm Sparkling Clear Sequins to the greeting for a touch of sparkle and shine.

I die cut multiple Madison Avenue frames from Lawn Fawn Cardstock in colors similar to those in the ombre ink pad. I adhered the white die cut frame to a top fold card base and replaced the stamped center in the middle. Then I stacked the colorful frames one on top of another, finishing with the black cardstock frame. From the sides the trio of color is visible and adds dimension and interest.

Finally I added silver sequin trim around the center of the black frame to finish the card design.

Mama Elephant | Rock and Paws "Keep On Rockin'" Card

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Rock and Paws Stamp Set and coordinating dies. These cute images will work for almost any kind of card but I especially love these for boy cards. I created a birthday themed boy card with the Mama Elephant stamps and dies.

I stamped the puppy drummer from the Rock and Paws stamp on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in the image with Copic Markers. I stamped one of the thought bubble greetings as well and die cut both with the coordinating Rock and Paws Dies. I added detail to the drum set with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen and detail to the eyes and nose of the dog with the Sakura Black Glaze Pen.

On the black cardstock card base, I die cut the Columbus Circle die from the front panel. This is going to create a great, decorative window to the inside of the card. I love the decorative stitching of this die.

I trimmed a piece of watercolor cardstock to 4" x 5.25" and applied Chipped Sapphire and Peacock Feathers Distress Inks to the panel with the mini ink blending tools. I spritzed water on the Sunny Skies sun rays stamp and stamped the water into the Distress Inked background. I held the stamp in place, letting the water sink into the cardstock and wick away the ink. I blotted the paper dry with a paper towel and repeated the stamping on either side of the first image. This is going to give a great "spotlight" type of look to my little rock 'n roll drummer!

I adhered the watercolored panel to the inside of the card and then adhered the drummer. I adhered the thought bubble to the outside edge of the card.

I die cut a banner from vellum using the Basic Die Collection die and stamped greetings from the Say What Stamp Set on the banner using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with platinum embossing powder. I adhered the banner to the front of the card and finished with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Mini Silver Star Confetti.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | "Happy Mail" Card

Today I've got another card to share showcasing the new Happy Mail Stamp Set. I paired elegantly embossed greetings with an adorable panda and mailbox from the Incoming Mail Stamp Set. I love the look of black/white/gold with the cute panda and mailbox images!

I applied black embossing paste to white cardstock using a palette knife and set aside the background to dry. I love embossing paste for the dimension but you could achieve a similar look with inks, paint, etc. if you prefer.

I trimmed a 2" wide piece of vellum and added stitching detail to the long edges of the panel using a Fine Trimmings stitched die. I stamped the large "happy mail" greeting from the Happy Mail Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with gold embossing powder.

The banner was die cut from black cardstock using a Venice Envelope Die Collection die. I stamped an additional greeting from the Happy Mail Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I placed the embossed vellum strip over another piece of vellum to mute the polka dot background (but still make it visible) and adhered both to the background. I adhered the banner below the vellum strip as shown.

I stamped the panda, mailbox, and letter from the Incoming Mail Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers before die cutting with the coordinating Incoming Mail Dies. I added the Sakura Black Glaze pen over the eyes, ears, arms, and legs of the panda to really make them pop.

I adhered the remaining pieces to the card as shown and finished the design with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Mini Gold Heart Confetti.

Lawn Fawn | Flamingo Together Card

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn May Inspiration Week!

All of the Summer 2016 products will be available for purchase on May 19th!

Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the new Flamingo Together Stamps and coordinating dies as well as all the amazing new Cross Stitched Stackables dies! I paired the Flamingo Together Stamp Set with lots of Lawn Fawn dies (both old and new!) to create this beachy scene card.

I stamped the flamingos and heart from the Flamingo Together Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I stamped the tops of the palm trees with Lawn Fawn Jalapeno Ink and the tree trunks with Lawn Fawn Walnut Ink. I die cut all the images with the coordinating Flamingo Together Dies.

I die cut two rectangles from the Small Cross Stitched Rectangles die collection. From one of the rectangles I used a Simple Stitched Hillside Boder to die cut the "sand" and used an Ocean Wave Borders die cut the "waves". I used a Cross Stitched Circle die for the sun. I applied Salty Ocean Distress Ink to the waves, Gathered Twigs Distress Ink to the sand, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink to the sun. I used a combination of Squeezed Lemonade Distress Ink and Candied Apple Distress Ink on the background rectangle for the sky. I spritzed all the Distress Inked pieces with water from a Distress Sprayer and immediately blotted the pieces dry with a paper towel.

I assembled the background scene as shown, finishing with the flamingos, palm trees, and heart.

I stamped a greeting from the Flamingo Together Stamp Set below the birds using black ink. I stamped the smaller heart next to the greeting and then a couple more times near the top of the card. I colored in the hearts with a Copic Marker.

I applied Glossy Accents to the hearts and the beaks of the flamingos and let it dry.

I die cut a large A2 size rectangle from black cardstock using a Large Cross Stitched Rectangles Die and adhered the flamingo scene on top to finish the design.

Mama Elephant Stamp Highlight | Incoming Mail "Hello" Card

Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the Incoming Mail Stamp Set. and coordinating dies. I absolutely love that these cute images coordinate with the previously released Pandamonium Stamp Set. I paired the sweet images from Incoming Mail with the "hello" from the Venice Envelope Die Collection and a stamped greeting from the Happy Mail Stamp Set.

I stamped the images from the Incoming Mail Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I die cut the images with the coordinating Incoming Mail Dies and added detail to the panda with the Sakura Black Glaze Pen and White Opaque Glaze Pen.

I trimmed a strip of smooth white cardstock and added detail to both long sides with a Fine Trimmings stitched die. I applied Spun Sugar Distress Ink to the strip using a Mini Ink Blending Tool.

I adhered the cute stamped and die cut images to the strip and stamped a phrase from the Happy Mail Stamp Set using black ink.

I die cut three of the "hello" die from the Venice Envelope Die Collection and adhered them one on top of another and adhered the word above the stamped phrase.

I applied Spun Sugar Distress Ink through the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Stencil on an Avery Elle light pink card base. I adhered the strip to the card base and applied a layer of Glossy Accents to the die cut word to give it gloss and shine!

I finished the card with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh 4mm Sparkling Clear sequins and Iridescent Mini Heart Confetti.
