Welcome to the Lawn Fawn June Inspiration Week!
Today the Design Team is showcasing the new Stinkin' Cute Stamps and coordinating dies. I'm combining this adorable image(s) and greeting with other Lawn Fawn stamps and dies to create a pull tab slider card. Lawn Fawn has released the Slide On Over Dies which make creating slider cards of all kinds so super easy! My pull tab slider moves the cute little female skunk through the flower garden closer to the other skunk hiding behind the grass.
To create the background I die cut four rectangles from watercolor cardstock using a Large Stitched Rectangle Die. From three of the rectangles I die cut borders using the Flower Border Die, Grassy Hillside Border Dies, and a Slide On Over Die. I die cut a background panel for the card using the A2 sized Large Stitched Rectangle Die.
I applied Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, and Salty Ocean Distress Inks to the backgrounds and borders as shown. I spritzed the pieces with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted the pieces dry with a paper towel.
A greeting from the Stinkin' Cute Stamp Set was stamped along the bottom of the front panel.
I adhered foam adhesive behind the layer with the slider cut out, trimmed a strip to create the "slider" mechanism and adhered another piece of foam tape on the other side of the slider, making sure to leave enough room for the slider to move. If the foam adhesive is adhered right next to the slider it might get caught and not slide as nicely. Running a bit of powder from a powder tool will help the slider move back and forth a bit to make sure it slides smoothly.
I stamped the word "pull" on one end and applied some Twisted Citron Distress Ink on the strip.
I stamped the skunk and flower from the Stinkin' Cute Stamp Set twice and the mushrooms and snail from the Gleeful Gardens Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I colored in the images with Copic Markers and die cut them with the coordinating Stinkin' Cute Dies and Gleeful Gardens Dies.
I attached one of the skunks to foam adhesive placed through the opening in the slider mechanism.
I stamped the word "pull" on the end of the pull tab using Kerri Bradford Annie Alphabet Stamps (they were the smallest alphabet stamps I could find in my stash!). I adhered the remaining layers and images to build the scene as shown and added a stamped heart to the end of the greeting to finish the design.
