One of the best things about summer? Popsicles, of course! I stamped popsicle designs from the Lawn Fawn Here's the Scoop and Best Pun Ever Stamp Sets and finished with a greeting using the brand new Scripty Smile Die. Watercoloring is perfect for popsicle images and the Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers make watercoloring so super quick and easy!
I began by creating the popsicle background on Bristol Smooth Cardstock with images from the Here's the Scoop and Best Pun Ever Stamp Sets stamped with Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I added a bit of color to each image with a Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker and blended out each popsicle with a water brush. I let the images completely dry and then I watered down a blue marker and applied that color to the background of the panel to help the white embossing stand out from the background.
Once the entire panel was dry I watered down Picket Fence, Mermaid Lagoon, and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Paints and flicked the paint over the entire background, just like popsicle drips!
I die cut a banner from black cardstock using a Everyday Sentiment Banner Die. I stamped a greeting from the Here's the Scoop Stamp Set on the banner with Versamark Ink and heat embossed the phrase with white embossing powder.
I die cut the Scripty Smile Die from Bristol Smooth Cardstock and from Fun Foam with Stick It adhered to both sides. On the cardstock die cut word I colored the word with a Zig Clean Color Real Brush Marker and blended out the color for an ombre effect with the water brush. Once the ink was dry I adhered the word to the fun foam die cut word and adhered the banner and die cut "smile" to the card as shown.
I finished the card with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins attached with Zots Bling Glue Dots.
