Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Girlfriends Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I paired these sweet images with the awesome Columbus Circle die and Hooray Script Die for a fun-filled birthday greeting card. I love this stamp set for creating all kinds of cards for my tribe. Girlfriends are an important part of life and can help you through good times and bad. I don't know what I'd do without my tribe!
To create the frame for the girlfriends, I die cut the Columbus Circle die from smooth white cardstock. This die is amazingly awesome with lots of stitching detail and actually only cuts out that inside piece! On a strip of black cardstock, I used the stitched line Fine Trimmings die to add the stitching detail in two lines along the top edge. I adhered this strip along the bottom edge of the cut out frame.
I die cut the large "hooray" from cardstock and fun foam using the new Hooray Script Die. I applied Salty Ocean Distress Ink to the bottom of the die cut dimensional word.
On another piece of white cardstock I applied some Salty Ocean Distress Ink. I watered down Picket Fence Distress Paint and added drops of it to the background for a bit of distressing.
I stamped the group image from the Girlfriends Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers before die cutting with the coordinating die.
I stamped and embossed an additional greeting from the Girlfriends Stamp Set on the black cardstock under the die cut word using white embossing powder.
I adhered the frame to the Distress Inked background using foam adhesive for dimension. I stamped speech bubbles from the Girlfriends Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock, die cut the images with the coordinating dies and adhered them to the card with more foam adhesive.
I finished the design with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh sequins and confetti.
