Welcome to the Among the Stars Release Blog Hop!
This new release features awesome new stamps and dies perfect for the summer months! I paired a couple of my favorites from this release, the pineapple image and die from the Summertime Animals Stamp Set with a greeting from the Uplifting Thoughts Stamp Set and the new Basic Rectangles Dies and Stitched Banners Dies. I colored the embossed pineapples with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and a watercolor brush pen.
I die cut a rectangle from Bristol Smooth Cardstock using a Basic Rectangles Die. I repeatedly stamped the pineapple image from the Summertime Animals Stamp Set on the rectangle with the Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder to create a pineapple background. I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and blended the color with a watercolor brush pen. Once the pineapples were completely dry I applied a watered down blue marker color around the pineapples to make the designs really pop.
When the background was completely dry I flicked watered down Picket Fence and Tumbled Glass Distress Inks over the background for a bit of distressing.
I die cut another rectangle from gold metallic paper and adhered that rectangle to a top fold card base. I adhered the pineapple background to the card with foam adhesive.
I die cut a vellum banner using a new Stitched Banners Die and stamped a greeting from the Uplifting Thoughts Stamp Set using the Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I adhered the banner to the card as shown.
I stamped another pineapple on Bristol Smooth Cardstock and watercolored the image before die cutting with the coordinating Summertime Animals Die.
I finished the card with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh gold star confetti and sparkling clear sequins.
