Today we're celebrating kindness part of Julia Alterman's birthday blog hop! It's really about celebrating all the awesome people in our community who are so generous with taking the time to comment, encourage, send cards and just be wonderful!
This sweet little panda peeking out among the foliage is the perfect accent for the kindness greeting from the Uplifting Thoughts Stamp Set. This world could use more kindness cards, don't you think?! :)
The foliage from the Tropical Leaves Stamp Set were stamped on watercolor cardstock using Lucky Clover, Mowed Lawn, and Twisted Citron Distress Inks. The Distress Inks were blended with a paintbrush dipped in water and then the images were die cut with the coordinating Tropical Leaves Dies. A panda from the Cuddly Critters was stamped on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I used the MISTI so I could stamp the image three times to get the darkest image possible. I colored the image with a couple of Copic Markers to give the image a bit of color and die cut the image with the coordinating Cuddly Critters Dies. Glossy Accents on the eyes and nose make his sweet face really pop!
To create the layered frames, I die cut two rectangles using the Lawn Fawn A2 sized Large Stitched Rectangles Die. I die cut circles from each rectangle using Simon Says Stamp Stitched Circles Dies. On one of the layers I stamped a greeting from the Uplifting Thoughts Stamp Set using black ink. The layer with the smaller circle was adhered to a top fold card base with foam adhesive. Then the layer with the greeting was adhered with foam adhesive. The foliage and panda were tucked under the different layers for a beautifully finished dimensional framed scene.
