Pretty Pink Posh + Avery Elle Blog Hop (GIVEAWAY)

Hello and welcome to the Pretty Pink Posh and Avery Elle Blog Hop! You should be arriving here from Katie Gehring's Blog.

I created a framed up woodland wonders scene with a Pretty Pink Posh Scallop Rectangle Frame Die, a Stitched Borders 1 Die, Iridescent Mini Heart Confetti, and the Avery Elle Woodland Wonders Stamps and Dies.

For the background, I applied Salty Ocean Distress Ink to a rectangle of Strathmore watercolor cardstock. I die cut a stitched border from another piece of watercolor cardstock using a Stitched Borders 1 Die and applied Peeled Paint Distress Ink to the border. I spritzed both pieces with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted them dry with a paper towel.

I stamped the owl, bunny, bird, raccoon, trees, and butterflies from the Avery Elle Woodland Wonders Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Intense Black Ink and colored the images with Copic Markers before die cutting with the Woodland Wonders Dies.

The stamped, colored, and die cut images and Distress Inked border were adhered to the background. Detail was added to the eyes with a black glaze pen.

The banner and a greeting from the Avery Elle Woodland Wonders Stamp Set were stamped on vellum using Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. The banner was die cut with the Woodland Wonders Dies and adhered to the card as shown.

I die cut three scallop frames from smooth white cardstock using a Scallop Rectangle Frame Die and adhered them over the scene, framing it up. Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Mini Heart Confetti sprinkled throughout the design add embellishment and sparkle.

I trimmed a top fold card base to 5.25" tall and adhered the framed scene to the card to finish the design.

The Great Outdoors Card featuring Neat & Tangled Lumberjack Love

Today I'm sharing a new card showcasing some of the adorable images from the Neat & Tangled Lumberjack Love Stamp Set paired with one of my favorite background stamps, the Impression Obsession Pine Trees Background Stamp.

To create the pine trees background, I die cut two A2 sized rectangle from smooth white cardstock using a Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Rectangle Die. From one of the rectangles I die cut a slightly rounded border using a Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 1 Die. I masked off all four edges on the rectangle background using post it tape and then stamped the Impression Obsession Pine Trees Background Stamp over the background using Simon Says Stamp Olive Ink. I masked off three sides of the border and inked the landscape with Ground Espresso Distress Ink. 

Once the ink was completely dry on the landscape I stamped a greeting and a small heart from the Neat & Tangled Lumberjack Love Stamp Set along the rounded edge of the border using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white and red embossing powders.

The girl, lumberjack boy, tree stump, bird, bear, and "timber" speech bubble from the Neat & Tangled Lumberjack Love Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers. The images were die cut with the coordinating Lumberjack Love Dies and adhered to the card as shown. Foam adhesive on the back of the speech bubble gives a bit of dimension and looks likes it's coming from the forest!

Finishing details make all the difference! Black glaze pen was added to the eyes and/or noses on the kids and critters. White glaze pen dots was added to the cheeks of the kids and bird.

I felt that the bottom two thirds of the card was so colorful and full that a little something needed added to the top of the card. I added stamped hearts from the Neat & Tangled Lumberjack Love Stamp Set and colored them in with red Copic Markers. They compliment the entire card without overpowering the design.

Simon Says Stamp Masterpiece Box Blog Hop + Giveaway

We started taking preorders for the Tim Holtz Crazy Dog stamps last week.  Since this stamp set is included in the box, anyone who purchased the box can cancel their preorder for the stamp set.

I've got two cards to share with you today! My first card showcases the wplus9 Whimsy Alpahbet Stamps, the Simon Says Stamp Oh Happy Day Stamp Set, and the Simon Says Stamp Lemon Zing Ink from the Masterpiece Box. I created a big, bold, custom greeting with the alphabet stamp set and framed up the sentiment with brightly colored flower borders!

I stamped and masked the flowers from the Simon Says Stamp Oh Happy Day Stamp Set along the edge of two Bristol cardstock pieces using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I colored in the images with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.

I stamped the greeting using the wplus9 Whimsy Alphabet Stamp Set and nine colors of Simon Says Stamp Dye Ink. The colors of the greeting were picked to coordinate with the brightly colored flowers. I used the coordinating outline letters to add even more detail  and whimsy to the greeting.

I adhered the wider of the two floral panels to the top of a side fold card base using foam adhesive, then I adhered the the greeting to the card base, finishing with the narrow floral border adhered with foam adhesive.

For my second card share today, I used the awesome new Mama Elephant Tiny Ninjas Stamp Set. I framed up the ninjas using the Mama Elephant Polaroid Fun Die Collection. I Distress Inked a background on a die cut panel that shows off the embossed resist greeting.

I stamped three of the ninjas from the Mama Elephant Tiny Ninjas Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and then die cut each with the smaller Mama Elephant Polaroid Fun Die Collection. I colored in the images with Copic Markers and added detail to the eyes with a black glaze pen.

I die cut three more frames from black cardstock using the Mama Elephant Polaroid Fun Die Collection, discarding the inside squares.

SSS+ME2

The background was die cut from smooth white cardstock using a Sew Fancy Die. I stamped greetings from the Tiny Ninjas Stamp Set using the Simon Says Stamp Clear Embossing Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

I applied Candied Apple Distress Ink over the background revealing the embossed greetings.

The background was splattered with Black Soot Distress Paint and Picket Fence Distress Paint. Once the background was completely dry I adhered the frames to the background and then added washi tape to each to "hold" them in place!

Today I'm sharing a card with the new Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs Stamp Set. This awesome stamp set is included in the Masterpiece Box or you can preorder it HERE. I combined these cute new images with a greeting form the previously released Crazy Talk Stamp Set and stamped heart accents from the Crazy Things Stamp Set.

I stamped and masked three of the images from the Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs Stamp Set on watercolor cardstock using the Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I watercolored the images with Distress Markers and let the images completely dry. I added a stamped greeting from the Crazy Talk Stamp Set to the left of the images.

I added detail to the eyes of the dog with a black glaze pen and opaque white glaze pen. I finished the eyes with Glossy Accents.

I stamped a side fold card base with the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe Background Stamp and Lawn Fawn Black Licorice Ink. I adhered the watercolored strip to the striped background and finished with a strip of red cardstock along the top and bottom to set the strip apart from the background.

I stamped the hearts from the Crazy Things Stamp Set and watercolored them like I did the rest of the images. I die cut the images with the coordinating Crazy Things Die Collection and attached them to the card with some bling glue dots.

I finished the card design with some Pretty Pink Posh mini silver heart confetti.

The images from the Seeing Stars Stamp Set included in the August 2016 Card Kit combined with Distress Inks make the most incredible galaxy backgrounds!

I stamped lots of the images from the Seeing Stars stamp set along the edge of some white cardstock included in the kit using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.

I applied Chipped Sapphire, Blueprint Sketch, and Seedless Preserves Distress Inks over the embossed areas. I spritzed the Distress Inks with water from a Distress Sprayer and blotted the strip dry. I trimmed the strip to 2.5" high by 5.5" wide and then flicked the White Gold Starry Colors pigment based watered down ink over the strip. I cleaned the paintbrush and then flicked watered down Black Soot Distress Paint over the strip and let it completely dry.

I adhered the strip to a side fold card base and then adhered white strips above and below the strip using foam adhesive. I trimmed super thin strips from the navy cardstock and adhered it along the edges as shown.

I finished the card with an additional stamped greeting inside the card.

Gansai Tambi Starry Colors Watercolored Hearts Card

Today I'm sharing a clean and simple card with the gorgeous Starry Colors Gansai Tambi water-based pigments. They look awesome on dark cardstock and perfectly colored these stamped and embossed heart outlines. A large stamped and embossed greeting from the wplus9 Biggest Fan Stamp Set sets off the entire design.

On a piece of black cardstock I stamped the greeting from the wplus9 Biggest Fan Stamp Set and the heart outlines from the Simon Says Stamp Tons of Hearts Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed all the images and greeting with white embossing powder. 

I watercolored the hearts with the awesome Gansai Tambi Starry Colors water-based pigments by wetting a paintbrush, dipping it in each color and coloring the hearts. I love the assortment of metallic colors and how pigmented and rich they are on dark cardstock!

Once the panel was dry, I adhered it to a top fold card base and finished the design with Pretty Pink Posh sequins and confetti.

Lawn Fawn Fall/Winter 2016 Sneak Week | Day 1

Welcome to the Lawn Fawn Fall/Winter 2016 Sneak Week!

Today I'm sharing a couple of sneak peeks showcasing new stamps and dies being released in late August. Be sure to check back then for Lawn Fawn Inspiration Week posts that will include videos for these cards I'm sneak peeking today.

First up, how about a little fall fun with these adorable critters raking leaves?!!! This card features the new Leafy Tree Backdrop Portrait Die (also available in Landscape format) with the Jump For Joy Stamp Set images and greetings and coordinating Jump For Joy dies.

Probably one of my favorite stamp sets from this latest release is the Thanks A Bushel Stamp Set and coordinating dies. Coloring these apples was so fun and the pie from the new mini Cutie Pie Stamp Set works perfectly with the apple images. I love the adorable faces that come with both stamp sets, making it easy to customize the apples and pie if you want to!

Bella Blvd Fresh Market Quilted Feed Sack Tote Bag

Happy Friday sewing and quilting friends!

I am honored to be sharing the first of several new fabric creations with the newest Bella Blvd Fresh Market fabric collection with you all today both here and on the Bella Blvd Blog (please check out the Bella Blvd Blog for great inspiration). If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you may have seen me sharing some in progress photos of this bag and a quilt showcasing these awesome fabrics. I pulled nine of my favorite prints from the Fresh Market Fabric Collection for my tote bag today (it was so hard to choose just nine!) plus I added my favorite Bella Blvd print of all time, the Puppy Park Black Crosshatch. It's a fabulous "basic" and really puts the emphasis on the bright and fun colors of the Fresh Market collection.

This feed sack tote bag is perfect for taking to the grocery store, beach, pool, toting your Bella Blvd Illustrated Faith projects, etc.! I used the largest size from THIS Fig Tree Quilts pattern. I think I want to make this in every size! So fun!

This quick and easy bag came together in one afternoon. I used some Soft and Stable in place of interfacing to give a bit more body and structure to my bag.

Lawn Fawn | Smart Cookie Card

Today I'm sharing a new card with one of my favorite little mini stamp sets from Lawn Fawn, Smart Cookie! Multiple little cookies, a graduation cap and a frame make for a sweet graduation card. You could forgo the graduation cap and use this card for other occasions as well. The graduation cap and diploma will work with other Lawn Fawn critters and images, too! The possibilities are endless!

I stamped the cookies and graduation cap from the Smart Cookie Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I die cut all the colored images with the coordinating Smart Cookie Dies. I added detail to the eyes with a black glaze pen and then applied a layer of Glossy Accents over the glasses. 

I die cut the Stitched Rectangle Frame from smooth white cardstock four times. On one of the inside panels I applied Salty Ocean Distress Ink. I stamped the greetings from the Smart Cookie Stamp Set using black ink. I watered down some Picket Fence Distress Paint and flicked it over the panel for subtle distressing.

I adhered the cookies along the bottom edge as shown and a couple along the top edge. I adhered the panel to the center of a top fold card base and then adhered the four frames one on top of another around the center as shown.

I finished the card with a few additional cookie images on the card base around the edges.
