Welcome to the Concord & 9th Birthday Bash!

What better way to celebrate Concord & 9th's birthday than with a birthday-themed card?! I absolutely adore the Sweet & Cool Stamp Set and coordinating dies and couldn't wait to use Distress Inks to create some cool treats for this birthday card! The popsicles are the star of the card with a simple tone-on-tone embossing paste background and the card is finished with an additional greeting inside and some smaller stamped popsicles.

The popsicles from the Sweet & Cool Stamp Set were stamped with two shades of Distress Inks per popsicle. I inked up part of the solid image with one of the colors and then inked up the bottom of the image with another color. The inked stamp was spritzed with water and then stamped on watercolor cardstock. Additional designs were inked in three of the four popsicles and each was blended with a paintbrush dipped in water. The popsicle sticks were stamped with second generation Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and then blended with a paintbrush dipped in water.

Once dry, I die cut all images with the coordinating Sweet & Cool Dies. A greeting from the Sweet & Cool Stamp Set was inked on one of the popsicles using Black Licorice Ink.

For the background, white embossing paste was applied through the Tim Holtz Bubbles Stencil and then set aside to air dry. Once dry, the corners were rounded through a 1/2" corner rounder. The popsicles were adhered to the card front as shown using foam adhesive.

I finished the front of the card with Pretty Pink Posh 6mm and 4mm clear droplets adhered with Zots Bling Glue Dots.

The inside of the card was finished with another stamped greeting from the Sweet & Cool Stamp Set. Smaller popsicle outlines were stamped in the lower right corner and then Distress Inks were blended and stamped inside the outlines to finish the design.
