Welcome to the Lawn Fawn August Inspiration Week!
Today the Lawn Fawn Design Team is showcasing the Jump For Joy Stamp Set and coordinating dies, Leafy Tree Backdrop Portrait Die, and Leafy Tree Backdrop Landscape Die. The portrait tree backdrop made for the perfect backdrop to build a fall scene with the cute autumn critters!
To build the background, the Leafy Tree Backdrop Portrait Die was die cut from watercolor cardstock. I masked the border on the frame and then added Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and Ground Espresso Distress Ink to the tree using the Mini Ink Blending Tool. The hillside was inked with Peeled Paint and Forest Moss Distress Inks. Four of the leaves were inked with Fossilized Amber Distress Ink, four inked with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink, and the last four with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink.
A background was trimmed slightly smaller than the frame and inked with Fossilized Amber, Abandoned Coral, and Aged Mahogany Distress Inks, spritzed with water from a Distress Sprayer and then blotted dry with a paper towel.
Once the background was dry, I stamped greetings from the Jump For Joy Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossing with white embossing powder.
The squirrel, owl, rake, and acorns from the Jump For Joy Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in with Copic Markers. The images were die cut with the coordinating Jump For Joy Dies. I assembled the scene using the stamped and colored images and inked leaves as shown.
The framed fall scene was adhered to a top fold card base and the card was finished with a scattering Pretty Pink Posh Mini Gold Star Confetti.
