Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the Fresh Fruits Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I used these stamps to create a Hello Friend card a few days ago. I love the versatility of these amazing stamps! I wanted to create a chalkboard design framed background with the apples "sitting" along the edge of the chalkboard. The Words Defined "teacher" greeting stamped with white pigment ink adds to the chalkboard feel while the Calli Upper Letters Stamps and Calli Letters Stamps add the perfect personalization!
The apples and leaf from the Fresh Fruits Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored with Copic Markers before die cutting with the coordinating dies.
A frame was die cut from smooth white cardstock using a Framed Tags Park Avenue Die. I placed foam adhesive around all four sides of the frame and set it aside for a moment.
A black piece of cardstock was trimmed to fit behind the frame. I stamped the "teacher" definition from the Words Defined Stamp Set using Lawn Fawn Yeti White Pigment Ink. I personalized the "blackboard/chalkboard" with the Calli Upper Letters Stamps and Calli Letters Stamps and the white pigment ink.
I adhered the foam adhesive backed frame to the chalkboard and adhered the apples in the bottom left corner of the frame using foam adhesive. The panel was adhered to a side fold card base.
For the matching envelope, I masked and stamped the apple from the Fresh Fruits Stamp Set on a Cherry Wood Envelope and colored in the images with Copic Markers. I finished the envelope by personalizing with the Calli Upper Letters Stamps and Calli Letters Stamps in black ink.
