Happy Monday!
The Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the brand new Pretend Play Stamp Set and coordinating dies. Instead of using the adorable critter hats on the girl and boy stamps included in the stamp set, I used them as actual critters, peeking up along the border to send birthday wishes with cute balloons and birthday hats!
The critter hats and birthday hat from the Pretend Play Stamp Set and the balloons from the Tandem Extras Stamp Set were stamped on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink and colored in with Copic Markers. I die cut all the elements with the coordinating Pretend Play Dies and Tandem Extras Dies. Detail was added to the eyes and noses with a black glaze pen and white glaze pen. The Wink of Stella Glitter Pen was added to the balloons and party hats. Glossy Accents added to the nose of the duck.
On a strip of watercolor cardstock, I applied Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks, blending them before spritzing the strip with water from a Distress Sprayer before blotting dry with a paper towel. A greeting from the Tandem Extras Stamp Set was stamped using black ink.
The images were assembled and adhered along the bottom edge of the strip.
The polka dot border from the Boutique Borders Stamp Set was stamped on the card base using black ink. The black/white strip stamped with black ink, trimmed out and adhered above and below the decorative strip.
I finished the card with a scattering of Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Mini Star Confetti to complete the design.
