Today the Mama Elephant Design Team is showcasing the new Words Defined Stamp Set! This awesome greeting set pairs with the other Mama Elephant Stamp Sets so nicely! I used the Words Defined Stamp Set with the new Page Huggers Stamp Set and coordinating dies as well as the Stripe Cover Die for this sweet happiness card.
I knew I wanted the bunny from the Page Huggers Stamp Set to be holding onto the Words Defined greeting strip. As I was looking for the perfect way to showcase the bunny I came across the Stripe Cover Die and the idea for the tucking "grass" into the openings was born!
The Stripe Cover Die was die cut from watercolor cardstock and inked with Dried Marigold and Squeezed Lemonade Distress Inks. More watercolor cardstock was used to die cut strips using the Grassy Trio Dies. After trimming the grass to fit the openings in the stripe cover, I inked up the pieces with Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks. I spritzed all the pieces with water from a Distress Sprayer, let the water sit for 15-20 seconds, and blotted them dry with a paper towel.
The grass pieces were adhered in the openings of the stripe cover as shown.
The greeting from the Words Defined Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock using black ink. A Fine Trimmings Die added decorative stitching to the two long sides of the "happiness" strip.
The bunny and carrots from the Page Huggers Stamp Set was stamped on smooth white cardstock using black ink and colored with Copic Markers before die cutting with the coordinating dies. The bunny was tucked under the top edge of the greeting strip, holding onto the banner as well as one of the carrot dies. The rest of the carrot die cuts were tucked behind the grassy layers.
The whole panel was adhered to a top fold card base to finish the design.

Adorable Nichol! The grass and carrots look so cute peeking out, your so creative! Gosh I really need to start thinking out of the box with my dies. Thanks for sharing and always inspiring.
