Hello, and welcome to the Holiday 2016 Essentials by Ellen Release Hop! You should have arrived here from the talented Carolyn Peeler's Blog!
I’ll be showcasing several of the new stamp sets and dies on my post today! First up is this clean and simple gold foil reindeer card featuring the new Leaping Deer Die and Season to Sparkle Stamp Set. Gold and white is one of my favorite holiday color combos and makes for elegant Christmas cards!
I stamped the snowflake, star, and greeting images from the Season to Sparkle Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.
I added Stick It to both sides of a piece of Fun Foam and then adhered gold foil cardstock to one side and die cut the Leaping Deer Die from the foam creating a dimensional gold foil sticker to feature on my card! I tied a little white silk ribbon around the neck and secured the deer to my card.
I finished the card with a scattering of sequins and gems.

For my second card share today I'm showcasing the new Homespun Holiday Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I paired these darling images with the new Believe Die.
I trimmed a piece of watercolor cardstock to 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped the greeting from the Homespun Holiday Stamp Set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I applied Festive Berries and Frayed Burlap Distress Ink over the embossing, spritzed the ink with water from a Distress Sprayer, and then blotted dry with a paper towel. I splattered the background with Antique Bronze Distress Paint and set aside the background to air dry.
I stamped the images from the Homespun Holiday Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using black ink and colored in the images with Copic Markers before die cutting with the coordinating Homespun Holiday Dies.
I added Stick It to both sides of a piece of Fun Foam and then adhered gold foil cardstock to one side and die cut the Believe Die from the foam creating a dimensional gold foil greeting sticker. I adhered the dimensional greeting above the stamped greeting as shown.
I finished the card with a scattering of sequins.
