It's time for my weekly video series,It's In The Details, for the Waffle Flower Inspiration Team. Every Friday I will share a new video featuring amazing Waffle Flower Stamps and Dies.
Try creating multiple cards using the same design so that you always have cards on hand when you need them! I created both boy and girl versions of these baby balloons cards. Both are the same
I stamped the balloon and balloon strings from the Balloon Messages Stamp Set and the fish balloon from the Bithday Fishes Stamp Set on smooth white cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I colored in the balloons with Copic markers and die cut all the images with the coordinating Balloon Messages Dies and Birthday Fishes Dies.I added shimmer to the balloons with the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Brush Pen.
I trimmed down background panels (3.75" x 5.50") for my cards from smooth white cardstock. On the "girl" version of the card I applied Dried Marigold Distress Ink. On the "boy" version I applied Twisted Citron Distress Ink.
I adhered the balloons for both versions along the bottom edge of the inked panel, trimming off the balloon strings as necessary. I tied a bit of thin twine around the balloons to give them the perfect finishing touch. To keep the twine from coming undone in the mail, I sealed the knot with a bit of Glossy Accents. The fishes eye is the perfect size to add a googly eye too for a fun, whimsical touch.
I stamped a greeting from the Congrats Stamp Set using Oh Happy Day Ink for the "girl" card and Daydreaming for the "boy" card. I made the Congrats die cut greeting dimensional with a bit of fun foam and inked up the greeting with Picked Raspberry (girl card) and Salty Ocean (boy card) Distress Inks.
Clear droplets for bubbles coming up from the fish balloon and a scattering of iridescent star confetti to add interest to the background and finish the design.
