It's time for my weekly video series,It's In The Details, for the Waffle Flower Inspiration Team. Every Friday I will share a new video featuring amazing Waffle Flower Stamps and Dies.
Building adorable stockings is so easy with a few Waffle Flower dye inks and the Stocking Stamp Set. I used dye inks for the stripes on each stocking and added simple Copic Colored accents to each as well as added texture to the cuffs of each stocking with the Marvy Snow Pen. The background was created by sponging WF ink through a stencil and adding paint splatters. A bit of dimensional foam tape under each stocking pops them up from the background!
I stamped the stocking outlines from the Stocking Stamp Set with black ink and then stamped the stripe design on each using the Waffle Flower Safe Choice, Chirp Chirp, and My Pleasure Inks. I stamped the toe, heel, and other accessores for the stocking with black ink and colored them in with Copic Markers. I used the coordinating Stocking Dies to die cut all the elements. I added detail to the heels and toes with a white gel pen and added texture to the cuffs on each of the stocking with the Marvy Snow Pen.
For the background, I applied the New Fish In Pond Ink through the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stencil using a sponge dauber, keeping the darker inking to the outside edging and using a lighter touch towards the center.
I splattered the background with watered down Tumbled Glass and Brushed Pewter Distress paints and once the paint was dry stamped a greeting from the Stocking Stamp Set with black ink. I adhered the stocking with foam adhesive and adhered the panel to a side fold card base to complete the design.
