I love that Lawn Fawn re-released the very popular Merry Christmouse Stamp and Die set for a limited time. I created a tag with this set last year and thought it would be fun with the re-release to create a card with a gift card holder inside for this holiday season. I paired the adorable mice images with the fireplace, log, and Santa letter from the Cozy Christmas Stamp Set.
I stamped the mice and cheese images from the Merry Christmouse Stamp and Die set and the fireplace, log, and Santa letter from the Cozy Christmas Stamp Set on kraft cardstock using Simon Says Stamp Intense Black Ink. I colored in the images with Prismacolor Colored Pencils (check out THIS great deal on the 150 set of Prismacolors at Amazon!) and then die cut the the images with the coordinating Merry Christmouse Stamp and Die set and Cozy Christmas Dies. I colored a piece of kraft cardstock with the black Prismacolor pencils to look like the inside of the fireplace.
The background was die cut from kraft cardstock using a Small Dotted Rectangle Die. I stamped a greeting and small heart from the Merry Christmouse Stamp and Die set using Versamark Ink and heat embossed with white and red embossing powder. I assembled the scene with foam adhesive as shown with the adorable Santa Mouse hanging down from inside the chimney!
I die cut another layer for the front of the card from black cardstock using a Large Dotted Rectangle Die and then adhered both to the front of a top fold card base.
I die cut another layer for the inside of the card from kraft cardstock and then die cut slots for a gift card using a Simon Says Stamp Gift Card Slots Die.
