Welcome to Day 3 of my last minute Handmade Holiday 2016 Series!
I'm back with my third year of last minute handmade ideas! Even with the craziness of the season I like to be able to add handmade touches to gifts for our friends and family. Over the next two weeks I'll be sharing mostly quick (an hour or less) Handmade Holiday ideas for cards, tags and gift wrapping sure to add that handmade touch we all love. Most ideas will include multiples (today I created five felt plush gift tags/ornaments)! The ornaments all together took longer than an hour but you could easily create one in under an hour, maybe even two if you're a quick stitcher! ;)
Each Handmade Holiday project blog post will feature a brand new, never before seen project(s) plus at least one incredible giveaway from a generous sponsor!I
FELT PLUSH CRITTER ORNAMENTS/GIFT TAGS
Not only are these felt plush ornament tags a great way to adorn a gift package but the "tag" itself is an ornament the recipient can use for years to come! Almost any of the plush dies can be made into a "holiday" ornament by adding holiday accents or colors!
I created five felt plush ornaments with the Simon Says Stamp Plush Sweet Elephant Die, Plush Happy Bear Die, Plush Gentle Fox Die, Plush Little Owl Die, and Plush Deer Die. I die cut the ornaments from Taylored Expression Felt in the Neutral Bundle, Red Bundle, Green Bundle, Brown/Cream Bundle, and Pink Bundle.
I created a the greenery for a holly bundle to adhere to some of the ornaments from the Plush Carrot Bunny Die Set. I used red pearl gemstones for the berries.
Simple tags were created for the ornaments by die cutting smooth white cardstock with the tag shape from the Bundle of Stitched Shapes Die Collection. I stamped greetings from the Retro Christmas Stamp Set and the Simon and Dexter Stamp Set with Schoolhouse Red Ink and Green Apple Ink.
I made sure to decorate both sides of the plush ornaments for cute, complete ornaments. Doodlebug black Sprinkles were used for the eyes of the critters.

Oh these are so cute. When I was growing up we made ornaments every year. My mom's goal was that we would have enough for a good start on our own tree. We would have gone crazy over these.

These are the cutest! Less than an hour, huh? Maybe for you, but I feel like I'd be fumbling around trying to stitch these all up.
But wow - what a festive touch this would add to our holiday packages!
